City officials believe that cell phones, clothing and the car belonging to the three victims could offer proof that they were intoxicated and threw objects into the tiger enclosure shortly before the maulings, according to documents filed Thursday in San Francisco Superior Court.
I still say this case stinks & unless they get some kind of proof that they taunted the tiger we will never know what really went on that day.
Thank you! I wish more parents would be parents & not think everything their little darlings do is cute. My 6 children were not angels but they did behave in public or they were in big trouble.
I did follow the story. What does that have to do with your contradictory statements?
In a sense, yes.
While the investigation was going on, a "police source" leaked the slingshot story to the press. Which tuned out to be a lie.
But I would have to believe that official statements made on the record and at press conferences are going to be generally true.
And only you have the insight to know which statements the police make are true and which are false? In spite of the circumstantial evidence that all leans in the opposite direction?
Please list at least five pieces of circumstantial evidence that suggests the brothers caused the tiger’s escape:
1-
2-
3-
4-
5-
Which police statements are true? And which ones are not?
As a general rule, most people believe public statements.
But many people doubt annonomous leaks to the press from the police department, like the slingshot lie.
...they are also victims of a smear campaign by city officials at the zoo and police department.
Whose public statement backs up that assertion?
Why five? What is magic about that number?
IMO there is more to this story. It stinks. But so does the brother's story.
I believe that most public statements from the police are going to be true since they will be scrutinized by others.
But here is an example of the police planting a lie in the press to discredit the brothers:
A police source has told The Post that the three victims were carrying slingshots.

Within two days, official statements from the police “flatly denied” that report.
So yes. Police tell the truth. And police lie.
Too bad we have to even have this conversation.
Well you know what I think...However unless there is REAL proof those guys taunted the animal this zoo looks really bad. It ought to be closed down to the public asap before another accident occurs. Just who is running this zoo? Wouldn’t you think after the 1st accident all the cages & area’s would have been double checked? A zoo should be a safe place to visit & this one would never be a zoo I would take my family. The zoo has to explain why their animals keep getting out & need to secure them asap.
Well, it beats not being allowed to talk about it. ; )
I think that's quite right on both points.
