I had a college girl come in who had been drinking at a sorority/frat (same thing?) party. She tripped, fell about four feet and did a face plant right into one of the porch posts.
She was pretty- before she knocked out half her front teeth and sustained a gash that ran from below her right cheekbone to the top of her head. Really nasty.
And her BAC was around .350, so she was of course belligerent, puking, trying to get off the back board and trying to take her cervical collar off, wouldn't keep her hand out of the wound, was crying about her hair being all messed up. In order to maintain C-spine stabilization, we simply tied her hands down to the grips of the backboard and strapped her on tight.
Man, that was a mess. She may not remember getting hammered, but she'll remember how stupid she was that night for the rest of her life- every time she looks in the mirror.
I love war stories, don't you?
