Just wanted to set the record straight about Barry Goldwater. Most of us rever the memory of Goldwater and the founder of the modern conservative movement. But we should all be aware that Barry took some pretty extreme positions in his old age. My theory was that he was swayed by the young wife that he married. It wouldn’t be the first old man who was twisted around her little finger.
Fred is a conservative. A lot of people with a hell of a lot more cred than you realize this.
Someone’s internal polls must look really bad in SC. Is that who is paying you?
He is a moderate. Why be ashamed of it?

I’m not going to look it up now, but he’s been posting proof of Hunter’s ‘major infractions’ also. I’ve run across them at least once and I believe a few times.
Click on his posting name and check out his find in forum material. Most of it is taking come republican to task, a majority of it against Fred Thompson.
Others are also taken to task, though with much less ferocity.
Another Hunter supporter, of course.

Some of the most viscious language in the primary has come from the DH camp agasint FDT, and I just don’t get it. Do you think Mr. Hunter would be proud of the borderline hate you folks seem to have for Senator Thompson? Does he support this kind of language, this kind of obsession? Knowing what I know of Mr. Hunter I must say I think not...

It had been my contention that he had taken Hunter to task too, but then I reviewed posts to me, I must have mixed him up with another poster who had taken Hunter to task, both having strange names that were what I remembered as the same, but weren’t.

Actually, I did that before I posted my comment to you. I found a couple of pro-Hunter comments, but nothing against Hunter. Granted, I didn't go through all the history with a fine tooth comb...
