My sentiments exactly. Protecting children is our job as parents, even if that means removing a pet from the home, if that pet poses any kind of (mild or not) threat at harming the child.

And what would have happened if that mom wasn’t there to pull the dog off her child?

PING! Sick sick lady, the authorities should remove either the son or the dog or both.

My mother would have personally shot that dog in the head.

House sized? Used to own one of them mini-horses myself, lol.

No dog should snap at a baby... or any human. This lady needed Cesar Millan but now frankly it’s too late — this is a dangerous dog and she is an unfit mother and unfit dog owner.

I hear ya. I have three dogs (airedales) and they KNOW that all humans are above them in the pack order. Babies included.

That’s a great point. If that dog now thinks it’s above the little boy in the pack, that kid is NOT safe. Matter of fact, I wonder if the mother is safe even. Wouldn’t it try to be dominant dog with her, too?

If she knows her kid and she knows her dog, then she’s liable for putting her child in danger by having the in proximity with each other. She should spend some time in jail.

Click on my screen name for a photo. He’s much bigger now, he was just a puppy 18 mo then, he’s near 4 yo and weighs 50 pounds more.

That video is priceless! Let’s all keep that in mind whenever the gummint experts tell us how well qualified they are to train our kids and that we should simply trust them to run the gummint skools. They can’t even handle a cat!

The gummint is dangerously inept. They should be the absolutely last choice to provide anything not explicitly required of them in the applicable charter documents.

But that woman’s attitude is merely the current cultural norm: humans are a blight on the planet; animals are good and we should treat them “humanely” (PETA doesn’t get the irony). If we truly want to honor the animals, we should do as they do - hunt them down, kill them in a slow manner, and eat their flesh. That’s what they do to one another - and sometimes us.

Read “The Dog that Bit People” by James Thurber. Hilarious story.

He was just a puppy of 18 months there. He’s nearly 4 yo now and is 50 pounds larger. I guess I need to get a new photo.
