Just took out the bunker on my second shot out of the gate. Looks like this old cannon cocker still knows his azimuth from a hole in the ground. ;-)

Well then, perhaps you might give a try at a better-paying job like helicopter driver....

Me too. But maybe not at direct fire, danger close.

Still, I'd rather have you shoot at 'em while they're a long ways off:

Made it through all 15 rounds... got my last target in the last round with my very last shot... you got to time it so the ICBMs are out of their protective shelter when the missile hits.

final score 179,500

Depends on how good the last guy hid it. I am reliably informed of one such being hidden sandwiched between two post-mounted sheetmetal advertising signs, not found until some passing [bored] GI decided to check his zero on the sign and got a resounding THUNK! instead of just the ping of a 5,56mm round zipping right through.

Remember kids, plinking at roadside signs CAN save your life....

And who knows what else thrown in there from the beginning of time, all to make it more interesting to dig up.

Target annoyed.. LOL!

Happens often I hear.

There are a couple of possible cures for *target annoyance,* though some are enviornmentally unfriendly and may contribute to global warming.

But there are other means, too. A pal of mine tasked with being part of an *insurgent mortar team* during one CITA predeployment field exercise deployed with his favourite [lightest] 60mm M224 mortar and set the thing up, after which he dropped a 3-foot long section of black spraypainted 4-inch waterpipe over the top half of the tube. Whereupon, the scout platoon who was supposed to find them reported the position as a 4.2"/120mm position, and accordingly had all their friendlies keep their vehicles out of the 7200 meter range of the bigger feller. Yet when the mortar team packed up in their Toyota pickup and redeployed, they were up and gone in less than half a minute.

His new term for a buck's worth of scrap PVC pipe is a *VisMod Enhancement Device.* And given time, I bet he comes up with other little surprises

True no BS there I was story.......... got a call from a rancher who was former army four deuce mortar man. He says when he was digging up an old foundation on a structure on his ranch he found a 4.2 mortar and for safety he just pushed a few bucket loads of earth on it and had called my EOD unit. I picked up some C to counter charge it and BIP it as it was in the boonies etc and when we arrived the site was pure deep crap and mud at the edge of a old corral. My troop and I dug in that mud for at least 8 feet and found his 4.2 mortar...............after almost 6 hours of careful dig by hand in cold wet mud and manure we found a really nice old sucker pump counter weight with the leather washers still attached ......the ones that make the bullet shaped windmill counter weight look like a mortar and it had charge bags still attached etc ........

I have disliked Army Mortar men ever since.....:O)

Not last trip, though I got his name and office number.

The trick is not *when I'm around Knox,* the trick is when I'm around Knox with a little free time....

Sounds better than getting stuck in the middle of the guys playing OpFor and driving out with one of their vehicles.

I earned that inert 4.2 windmill sucker pump counter weight (Mk 3 Mod 2 GPM) !

It went on my traveling IED / UXO show tour with a threat to never confuse the two or they owe me and my team lots of beer afterwards........LOL !

Now it is MY door stop !
