Your ape experiment never occurred, it appears. As to the Cryer case - it concerned criminal intent, not his actual tax liability. All of his motions to dismiss were rejected. I’d be interested to see if he winds up paying what they claim he owes.
This makes me sick. If you make a living “pretending” you can get away with just about anything.... even murder (al la O.J.). So much for “... death and Taxes”.

Several years ago I sat on a jury. I didn’t realize, until I had that experience, just how incredibly ignorant people can be. Incredible.
Not to mention the fact that he sent the IRS a multi-million dollar check that bounced and he never subsequently made good.
I think it was for $4.1 million dollars.
Imagine what would happen if you just bounced a $50 check with the IRS.
I did grand jury-jury duty twenty years ago and I too was stunned at how ignorant people are, it’s amazing, of course I live in a very liberal state and most of these people were unwilling to pass true bills in order to get some of these cases before a judge and we’re not talking petty things, we’re talking sexual abuse, assault, attempted murder, etc.
