We wanted to take the time to thank you for your efforts and time in keeping us informed with your wonderful posts. Your work, time, and class was very much appreciated.
Thank you, Reaganesque!
I want to second your post! Governor Romney was a class act, who deserved better. Reaganesque dealt with a lot of crap and kept those of us interested informed. Thank you for performing such a service for us.
????????????
I second the sentiments expressed. Reaganesque, thinking of your posts and those like them is sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane in the Ultimate Fighting den that FR sometimes becomes.
Well said...agreed.
Why? Is he out of a job now?
I don’t understand why you posted this thread...
Mitt will live to fight another day.
You did well. Hat’s off to you, FRiend.
Where’s my thank you ? I worked so hard to make this day possible. :-)
Congrats to your guy, Mr. Bates. Enjoy your evening.
LOL. Dear field, you’re not too shabby yourself (at times). :-)
Thank you - Mitt’s a good man. :-)
We haven’t seen the last of him!
I try. Have you folks now moved into the “NOTA” camp ?
“I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush.”
AWE and early valentines day gift!
(Don’t agree with the Romney prop. though..)!
Reaganesque did a great job spreading around disinformation to try to convince Freepers that Mitt was actually a conservative despite an incredibly liberal record on social issues. Many actually drank the kook-aid, and unfortunately the Mittbot agenda and attempts to silence dissent caused a great deal of bitterness and divisiveness on the forum.
I will give Mitt one compliment. He would have been no worse than McCain...or would he have been?
You have no class. Why do mitt bashers think they have to clutter up every thread with their nonsense? I mean, i bash mccpain and huck on the mitt threads, not other’s threads.
Reaganesque and Mitt showed that there is still class in the world, not just people trying to degrade others in a more outlandish way than the next buffoon.
Oh you mean classy like the freepmail that was inadvertently sent to a Fred supporter where it was discussed how much conservatives on FR were hated by Mittbots and that when Mitt won Mittbots would silence conservatives like some liberal coup of Free Republic. Give me a break. You DUers got what was coming to you.
God bless our gipper! Give us the strength to make it through these next 4 years!
Wow! Thanks! I’ve been a little busy this evening and I’m just now looking at my pings! We had a good run and who knows, we may well be back here in four years to do it all over again!
No, thank you. It was a great year. Oh, by the way, do you have a job now? LOL.
Supporting Mitt was not a job as some here would have you believe. As I have stated myriad times before, I have known and respected Mitt Romney since I was 12 years old. For the past several months, I have supported someone who I consider to be a friend and mentor because it was within my power to do so. Nothing more, nothing less. I still believe in him and will support him again if he chooses to run again.
Oh, was he your Bishop? Did he ordain you a deacon?
:-)
Goodbye, CC. I will not miss you in the slightest.
Are you leaving? Too bad.
Oh, are you a religious bigot?
That man was the best Governor here since I can remember.
The BS spewed out here by so called conservatives concerning his record in Massachusetts was/is abominable.
Mitts debates with fat Teddy were painful at the time to watch. Certain parts I mean. But in the full context they were minor episodes of a professional man attempting to walk a tightrope without a net in front of a hostile audience.
No matter to the obsessed out here. Mitt lost that race, and years later won the Governor’s race because of what he said about abortion.
In the final debate that year his opponent was defending abortion for teenagers without parental consent. Then Tim Russert asked her about the conflict that those same teens could not get a tattoo without a parents consent.
Shannon O'Brien offered on nationally televised debate to show her tattoo. That was her response to such a serious question.
That was the defining moment in the campaign and it came just before the election.
The Romney haters do not mention that fact. They instead go on about spurious charges that are beneath contempt in m y opinion.
We shall unlikely see again soon a man of Mitt Romney’s caliber again aspire to the office of president.
The Experiment is over.
Absolutly Reaganesque, thank you for all the wonderful threads you have posted for us to keep updated!
2012 or sooner good blessing are in store!
It has been quite a ride. I would do it over again in a heartbeat. Thanks to all who support this great man.
No. Twelve year old boys are ordained deacons in the Aaronic priesthood. It’s a fact. How can facts be bigoted?
Are you a bigot?
Why are you here CC you dont like us just your present emanates an uncaring soul!
What’s your problem? This was meant to be a simple “thank you” thread — nothing more. Gees.
Thank you Reaganesque.
Too bad more people couldn’t take Romney’s yes (on his flips, no flops) for an answer.
Too bad his best speech was today’s.
Cute. No cigar. Your attitude doesn’t make a contribution here. You might want to read-up on religious freedom. Good people have died for the right.
Wheres my thank you ? I worked so hard to make this day possible. :-)

Why do you feel the need to express maliciousness is your life that emply!
Just your present here says it was personal against other freepers who would not goosestep with you!
You would think that since Mitt so graciously stepped aside “for the good of the party and the good of the country . . . in a time of war” that the Mitt haters would take a break but apparently, it is not to be.
I am so proud of all of us who took so much crappola and did not respond in kind. I think I blew it a few times out of shear frustration and anger. But all in all, we handled ourselves in a commendable manner. I, for one, am not ashamed.
That includes the horrific anti Mormon posts and threads here on FreeRepublic. It was nothing short of evil. It was very hard to stomach. Mitt Romney did not deserve to be treated in such a shabby mean way. He is good man with a good family. I am proud of Mitt and all of us who supported and defended him on FreeRepublic.
Go, Mitt! To fight another day . . .
Mitt Romney attracts pure class. After reading numerious idiotic attack posts on FreeRepublic, it is easy to see why many of these posters aren’t attracted to him.
Yeah, you guys were just as kind when Hunter and Fred dropped. But you’re right, I’ll let you comfort one another. You need it.
I shouldn’t be so vindictive. But hey, I’m human. And I’m sorry.
Thank you so much, Saundra, as well (along with everyone else). :-)
Yes, every generation of my family has served in the US military, including my son and daughter in law. I thank them and their fellow armed service members for their service to my country.
I too, have my rights to voice disagreement with any religion. Perhaps you should re-read that constitution thingy.
I felt bad when Fred left I did not know Hunter so I never commented.
I felt the disppointment of others and personally did not have contempt in my heart for them.
You guys had pure hate and that was puzzling unless one was was aganist for being LDS it made sense.
Can someone suggest another site where decent people can go and be treated with respect and equality? I have just about had it with FreeRepublic. And I am one of those original FReepers. I have FReeped ‘til it hurt. I FReeped when no one showed up. I led huge FReeps and little FReeps. I traveled long distances to FReep, including to Washington, DC.
I am grateful to Jim Robinson for being a mentor to me. I FReeped by his side in Modesto for over a year to get rid of Gary Condit. I coordinated the C-Span “American Perspectives” event. I was there on the corner of Shaw & Blackstone when Jim Robinson signed up to become a Republican. I FReeped Danny Glover, just my husband and me in Modesto.
I have been spit on, pushed and shoved, screamed at, flipped off and literally had my life threatened by liberal rats.
But never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would be treated with contempt and suffer such horrific vicious attacks here on FreeRepublic - regarding my LDS faith and my support for Mitt Romney. It has been a very rough ride these past several months with Jim Robinson leading the charge and my heart is pretty much broken.
I need a break from this place before I say something I will regret.
Question is, why would we?
Give me a break. The absolute vitriol from the Romney supporters on all the Huckabee threads proves that your statement is utter nonsense. Some of the comments were so offensive that DU regulars would have been ashamed to post them.
