Perfect VEEP!
We'll sure get the illegal alien vote.
This is the man John McCain chose to be his "Hispanic Outreach Director." Hernandez is a verified traitor. Born in Dallas he decided as an adult to become a dual-national Mexican citizen. His last job was serving as Mexican President Vicente Fox's "American Reconquista Director."

Hernandez believes all Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in the USA should become dual citizens and consider themselves Mexicans first, "to the 8th generation."
The "New American Pioneers" proclaimed in his book are the illegal alien invaders he urges to become settlers in the USA.
And this is the man McCain chose for his "Hispanic Outreach Director." In the past week he was asked about this choice, and he said he chose Hernandez because he agrees with his positions.
Yet out of the other side of his mouth he says "He has heard us" and he will "Secure the border first."
Juan Shamnesty McCain is precisely a treacherous liar.

Expand the question. Who should the next President of the Senate be? The Vice-President is the President of the Senate and will cast the deciding vote if the Senate is deadlocked on a vote. Who should be entrusted with casting that vote?

My husband’s family is from New Mexico. His great-great grandparents became citizens of the United States after the war with Spain. Before that they were Spanish citizens not MEXICAN.
My husband doesn’t even speak Spanish, but we got two flyers from the Hillary campaign in Spanish because of our surname.

Where, OH WHERE in the constitution did you find that? If the architects of our constitution had intended the VP to be a puppet of the president, they would have skipped the VP as President of the Senate formality and allowed the President to cast the deciding vote.

His great-great grandparents became citizens of the United States after the war with Spain. Before that they were Spanish citizens not MEXICAN. New Mexico was a part of Mexico, NOT Spain, when we defeated the Mexican government in the Mexican-American war.
The only Spanish territories that came under US control were Puerto Rico, the Phillipines and (for a few years, indirectly) Cuba.

I suspect colorcountry may be confused on this point because many of the inhabitants of Northern New Mexico are very empatic about referring to themselves as Spanish, NOT Mexican.
They are, or think of themselves anyway, as of pure Spanish blood, unlike Mexicans who they think of as being mixed with Indian ancestry.
To: Sherman Logan
Well there is alot of truth to that. There is more Amerindian ancestry in the average Mexican than European, and most of the New Mexico/Colorado “Hispanos” are descended from folks from the Canary Islands who were given land grants by the Hapsburgs.

Okay so I googled about the Mexican-American War, and read up a little on history. Mexico received its independance from Spain in 1821. In 1845 parts of New Mexico, and Texas, officially became part of the United States. In 1949 the US received California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. So only for a period of 24 years the peoples in the far reaches of Northern New Mexico and Colorado were living in the Nation of Mexico.
Nope, I’m not going back to Mexico with my hubby, even if this Juan Hernandez character requests that we do so. Hubby’s family never lived in the area where Mexico exists now, even though technically New Mexico was part of Mexico for a 25 year span.

Essentially the Spanish stole the land from the Indians. The Mexicans stole it from the Spanish and controlled it (very loosely) for 24 years. The US stole it from Mexico and has controlled it thoroughly for 159 years.
Yet somehow the Mexican title is supposed to trump all others. Does not compute.
To: Sherman Logan
Your summary was so much better than mine. Viva la USA!
