ST. JOSEPH COUNTY (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A teenage boy passed away Monday night after being run down by a hit and run driver in St. Joseph County. It happened around 6p.m. Sunday night on M-60 near Fischer Lake Road, just northeast of Three Rivers.
The 20-year old driver is in jail, after his bond was set at $750,000. Sergio Onofre is charged with Failing to Stop at the Scene of the Crash, Operating While Intoxicated, Minor In Possession of Alcohol, Driving with a Suspended License, Burglary, and Obstruction of Justice.
Deputies say Onofre was westbound on M-60 when he went off the road and hit 14-year old Daniel Turner, who was walking with a friend.
Investigators say Onofre then kept on driving dragging the 14 year old. He then hit another vehicle, a large bush, and then took off running.

Because there are illegals serving in Iraq, and its immoral to send them letters informing them their kin have been deported.
Or so some presidential candidates would say.
I think that illegals should have to have drivers licenses. I think that the licenses should be issued by the dept of homeland security, stamped, alien, and re-issued every six months, on proof of insurance and no violations. Anyone alien who is stopped without a valid drivers’ license should be immediately deported on the first offense.
Prayers for the family and kudos to AG Cox for some common sense law.
Come on now! Michigan was stolen from Mexico and is a part of ancient Aztlan
Damn......
Shouldn't being in the coutnry illegally be reason enough for deportation? Why have ANY laws??!
McCain is beyond frightening. He's maniacal.
We are being invaded by wild and undisciplined Aztec and Mayan Indians. Most of them have some percentage of Spanish blood. They feel they are “indigenous” to this continent, thus have aright to live anywhere. Borders are something white guys invent
I had a do gooder liberal cousin who was killed by drunk driver in a pick up in New Mexico in 1973. He wrote history textbooks that emphasized the Black role in American history. The driver and his buddy were not white boys
watched it!!!
That explains a lot. I have some friends (married couple) who escaped Castro's 'paradise', came to this country and became U.S. citizens the legal way. They went through the whole lengthy process and displayed a respect for our laws.
They are furious about what they call "los indios" just come piling in across the border and it casts a dark shadow over all Hispanics including those who played by the rules.
I don't know Spanish, but I have been told that the term "los indios" refers to the Indian tribes you mentioned.
I think that all visitors to this country should be required to be licensed to drive, not just illegals. It is a good way to keep track of illegals as well as legal visitors. They could embed a gps chip in the licenses, too.
Me too. Welcome to FR Scrat.

Ping! Another child killed by an illegal alien. I figured you’d enjoy it. :-(
Yesterday evening they finally wrote an article admitting he was an illegal and detailing his past offenses, including a previoius DWI:

The reason I pinged the Freeper called End Times Crusader in the post above is that he claims to be a Christian, yet he just shrugs off American deaths at the hands of illegals and dismisses them as no big deal. Sadly, a lot of people think that way.
Requiring legal aliens, long-term tourists, etc to have some kind of license is one thing. To require that of illegals is just plain stupid.
They are illegal, and you want to give them a legal document.
Again, I ask you: Why not deport them?
Why not deport them immediately? It just doesn’t happen, and they could claim that they are just here to visit a relative and are going home, etc. This way, driving without a license becomes a federal offense, and takes it out of the hands of the sanctuary cities.
I have been thinking that failure to support the law could then put sanctuary cities at legal jeopardy by families who are damaged by illegal drivers, who have previous driving violations.
I should have thought as much.
