This is total bullshit.
McCain proposes to lower tax rates to stimulate economic growth, does that make him a commie-liberal?
Where did we hear that before?
If I ever have kids, I am not sending them to UCLA unless they get a scholarship to play basketball there.
McCain says a lot of things these days. Doesn’t matter he’s stands about zero chance of winning in november anyway.
McCain promises to keep the Bush tax cuts, but he also has proposed a carbon tax and trade scheme which would be devastating to the economy and cost more than the repeal of the tax cuts.
Its laughable, almost, to pretend that some ideal conservative nominee ever has or ever will exist.
The GOP hasn’t had a truly conservative nominee since Goldwater. And he lost. Big.
We need to learn to make incremental nudges of policy to the right and fight like hell against the nudges of the left. While it would be thrilling to get it all at once its just never gonna happen.
The libs have been kicking our butts because they take little bites. Decades of bites, while we sit back and wait for some perfect candidate. Who never comes.
I am not going to be responsible for surrendering this country to eurosocialist.
He is going to propose a flat tax in the spring. If he listens to his economic team, it probably won’t be implemented.
BTW... How do you propose that we get our guns back after HillBama and a leftist controlled congress take them?
HELLUVA POST!
Not a smart move........
Democrat Control Congress + Democrat President = 20 Million Aliens made Legal !!!
If he passed the CPA exam by 25, he went through a decent accounting program, or is very good at tests, or both ... but that means nada regarding political analysis.
Remember a few months ago, when it was “beyond argument,” an absolute TRUTH like Global Warming, that Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani would be the nominees? Honestly, I’m all for being sure of myself, but you have to take some historical perspective (”How many predictions have been wrong how many times?”) into account.

I was actually initially a double major with political science but I couldn’t take the garbage spewed from the communist staff at UCLA so I dropped it like it’s hot, but I think that I have very good political analysis supported by my economics background. I am not on the Global Warming bandwagon (although I think it’s a brilliant business scheme), I admit that I did think that Hillary was going to be the nominee, but I put Giuliani being the nominee at 1%.
But then again I was pretty damn certain Romney would rally and be the nominee...
McCain has admitted that he doesn’t know much about economics.
His economic adviser said that the Bush tax cuts didn’t pay for themselves, that no tax cuts ever pay for themselves. That’s not exactly conservative thinking, is it?
Interesting thread. Thank you for sharing.
Politics itself is a brilliant business scheme. Whatever happens, whoever wins, someone will be making money. The trouble is, liberalism has a better sales pitch.
Good job on seeing through Giuliani :-). I’m surprised at the current outcome, myself ... and this leads me to expect further surprises.
UCLA has such a nice location, or at least it did in the 80’s when I visited there. Whether you’re right or wrong about the current election prospects, I’m glad you got through there with a good education in accounting and a conservative viewpoint!
Hey, did you hear Obama quote that McCain remark? He quoted it in the debate, saying that John McCain admits that he doesn’t know much about the economy.
Only for RINOS.
You and I are the same age, am I’m not happy with the party either. I refuse to vote ‘rat, though.
