Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has been rocked by another bombshell as he recovers from his shock marriage split - he has been romantically linked to his teenage daughter Brooke's former assistant.

(Advertisement) A new U.S. tabloid report claims Hogan had an affair with 33year-old Christiane Plante, while he was married to now-estranged wife Linda.

The National Enquirer claims the wrestling great started romancing Plante 12 months before his 24-year marriage fell apart in 2007.

Plante tells the publication, "I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend." Hogan, who is hoping for a reconciliation with his wife, stating, "It's a tough time but we're all staying strong," says, "I have no comment. I haven't seen the story."

There’s plenty of serious stuff here, too.

Hogan is an Obama supporter. Was appearing at some of his rallies, which is not likely to continue.

I thought Free Republic was for more serious stuff.

And yet here you are complaining about the thread's subject after you click on a thread titled "Hulk Hogan's alleged affair rocks family".

What did you think you were going to find?

As scripted as that Gene Simmons show. Has nothing to do with reality.

The National Enquirer is about as believable as Al Gore.

And head and shoulders more believable than the NY Times.

Okay I will admit that some lighthearted, fun stuff, gossip, etc. is not going to ruin this site. I just worry about it proliferating. If too much of this nonsense is posted, the whole culture of the site can be affected. You know there is an unlimited number of sites to go to look at this stuff. I do not want this site to become a joke like some of the other sites I have seen.

Sure we’re thinking of the same rag?

You’re absolutely correct. He should’ve complained on, say, an Astronomy thread instead.

I think the other woman in the picture is his daughter?

Yup... In accordance with the rules, and in fairness, since you don't seem to be familiar with Brooke Hogan, I thought I'd post these as a public service...

One of these photos is not like the others...

I've also heard it has the same effect on your equipment as jumping in a pool of cold water does.
