Everyone is pilling on Obama right now. I'm afraid of two things: blowing the utility of the dirt too soon before the election and getting stuck with Hillary instead.
Obama is the easier one for McCain to beat. I don't care what polls say right now. He'll be much easier when it's a one on one show. Hillary would be much tougher to defeat than Obama.
Also, getting all this J.Wright stuff out there now may make the media and public numb to it before election day when it is more important.
I think Rush said Hillary was easier to beat, but that was (long) before this pastor thing.
Thats the funniest thing I have read here in a long time .
Most of the jumping on is happening elsewhere. FR is acting conservatively in this issue.
I have thought of the same thing, but you never let political opportunity pass. While he is trying to dig himself out of this hole you find another one to cause him to fall into. As General George S. Patton said:
Attack, attack, attack, quickly, decisively, shoot and keep on shooting
The Hillary-is-easier people keep pointing to her negative approval ratings, but negative approval ratings for Hillary don’t translate into positive votes for McCain. Anyway I think this thing is out of our control (i.e. under Hillary’s control).
Rush was wrong. He was wrong on this and he’s been wrong on a lot of things. Hillary had a knife against her jugular and it was pulled back by “well meaning” people following Rush’s suggestions. November will not be pretty no matter which side of the aisle you sit on.
The thing about Obama is that he doesn’t have the Clinton machine behind him. That makes him inherently easier to beat.
The back burner is just as hot on this one. Forget it! It is time to melt the bottom of the pot on B.O. and his wife! Do it now!
I believe Obama has the Kennedy machine in back of him.
I was wrong too. I voted for Obama in Virginia, so now when Hillary takes the nomination she will have a great comeback story. It all started a year or two ago when Hillary backers sat around and figured out who would be the best patsy opposition for her. Someone up and coming who could catch fire, but might have a skeleton or two or three waiting in the closet.
Hillary and McCain are in the pockets of special interests and are corrupt. Obama should never have won a Senate seat. Much of this about Obama, I knew last year. Why now? Because he is beating Hillary?
Just wait until it is Hillary against McCain and the media will spread rumors about the Manchurian Candidate, his and Cindy's health, and lots more.
Well that means he’s already headed towards a bridge then.
That’s a concern I share.
ANYONE could beat Obama.
It is good that the American people get to know Obambi as he really is. He is still young but he should NEVER get the chance to run for POTUS again. The Illinois electorate should get rid of him ASAP.
My father makes the argument that if you have to pick between Hillary and Obama, pick Hillary because she’s in the pockets of the special interests while Obama is in the pockets of those set out to destroy Western civilization.
My counterpoint is that “big ears” will be an order of magnitude easier to beat in the general. I’ve been thinking about two other points too. Obama will generally tend to lose white, male independents which are more likely to vote for McCain instead, while Hillary may lose many blacks (especially after beating/exposing Obama) but those voters will probably just stay home instead of voting for McCain.
Secondly, Rush may have attempted to construct this situation to boost his own popularity. He’s bound to attract many more listeners during a Clinton presidency than during a McCain one.
The Wright association has to be used now, and used forcefully, or the MSM will spin it into trivia.
McLaim cannot and will not win..
The democrats could run Bwany Fwank and win..
They could even run Al "global warming" Gump and win..
my opinion is, Obama is easier to beat.
also, my guess ids Obama will win the nomination.
McCain or Hussein, take your pick
I absolutely agree. I've worked under a black boss who hated whites. He didn't care about the business, just promoting any minority. White men were the enemy. It was an ugly couple of years.
