A Waunakee (WI) woman was released on a signature bond Tuesday and ordered to stay away from taverns until the criminal case against her, which came from a raucous weekend in Madison east side bars, is completed.
Amy McKitrick, 39, was charged Tuesday with two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of resisting officers and two felony counts of battery to a peace officer for her endeavors Friday night and early Saturday in which police were called after McKitrick caused problems at both Wiggie's bar and the nearby Locker Room Sports Bar.
The first call to police came shortly after 10 p.m. Friday when a bartender at Wiggie's, 1901 Aberg Ave., reported a woman had urinated on the floor of the bar. The bar's security cameras confirmed what customers had told the bartender, the criminal complaint filed Tuesday said, and showed McKitrick urinating on the floor in a back room.
As police were on the streets looking for McKitrick, they got a call to the Locker Room Sports Bar, 1810 Roth St., with a report that a drunk woman was refusing to leave that establishment. Not surprisingly, the complaint says the description of that woman matched that of the woman who urinated on Wiggie's floor.
When officers arrived there a bartender told them that McKitrick had come into the bar at about 11 p.m., and the bartender told her she was too drunk to serve. McKitrick sat down on a bar stool, the complaint says, and when the bartender stepped away she reached over and pushed the beer taps so they were all spilling beer from the taps into the bar area. The barkeep shut off the taps and told McKitrick to get out, the complaint says. She left after hitting another customer on the way out, the bartender said.
McKitrick left but then returned later, the complaint says. This time she was told by a bouncer she couldn't come in, but she pushed and hit him and when he said he was calling the police, she "began calling him names and yelled that she didn't care if the cops came and that she was on probation and that the cops wouldn't do anything to her," the complaint says. She was right on the first assertion, court records show. McKitrick is on probation from a 1998 conviction in Waukesha for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. But she was wrong to think the cops wouldn't do anything to her.
Officers found McKitrick on Ruskin Street a little later and arrested her and found she had a blood alcohol content of .205, almost three times the legal limit for driving.
They took her to jail but at the Public Safety Building she picked fights, first with Madison Police Officer Paul Fleischauer, then with Dane County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Russell. McKitrick had been yelling at Fleischauer on the way to the jail, the complaint says, promising to get him and saying he had messed with the wrong person, although she used a different verb than "messed."
At one point she told Fleischauer "she hoped he had kids and that she was part of the Mafia, and they would take care of business for her," the complaint says. She tried to slug Fleischauer after he removed her from the squad car, and hit him with an arm and several other officers arrived and they put McKitrick into a restraint chair. After removing her from the chair in an effort to search her before putting her in jail, she bit Deputy Russell on the thumb. "I'm going to kill you guys," she allegedly threatened the officers who subdued her.
McKitrick's night on the town could bring 90-day jail sentences if she is convicted of the two disorderly conduct charges, nine months in jail on each of the resisting charges, and up to six years in prison on each of the charges of battery to a peace officer. She could also face revocation of her probation if the Department of Corrections chooses to pursue that issue.
In the meantime, Dane County Court Commissioner Jason Hanson allowed her release on a signature bond but ordered her to stay away from taverns and not drink while the case is pending.
The Liberal skanks in this town just wanna have fun, don't 'cha know?
The old “I’m drunk and violent — but the cops can’t touch me because I’m on probation!” ploy, eh? I guess in her -— um, state of mind — this seemed to make sense.
Sad that it's even a question.
no mug shot?(Probably better off without)
Drunk in Publick.
My second thought as well! Pathetic!
Someone complained? WT$%^? I know people who'd pay good money to see that. LOL
Besides, that's a typical night for me back in the 70's
You cops can’t do my to anything. I’m the mayor of Candyland and you just mucked with the wrong person! I’ll have you thrown into the Brownie bog and.......hold on.....I’m peeing.............and...where was I you biditches? Oh yeah, you’re all dead and......

This story was repeated every day there, only the names were different and, often, people were actually seriously injured . In three months, I never once saw one of my cases reported in the newpaper.
You know how it is when you take drunks into custody - they keep falling down the stairs, hitting their heads on benches, and on railings . . . you try to steady them, but they wind up bruised and bloodied just the same.
Oh, the conversations these two could have!
True Dat. Poor Wiggie's has been fined.
The good old days....
The entitlement mentality given to women by the FemRats knows no boundaries.
Wiggie doesn’t care. He’ll fight this Smoking Ban to his last breath. :)
