I’m in Fresno .... just about half way between your two sets of relatives. :^)

We are retired farmers and are still living on the farm.

When you make it out to visit relatives, let us know. Maybe you can make a stop in Fresno. I’m sure I could find some local FReepers to meet for dinner.

Hi Amy, thanks for the April re-model and the invitation. Spanish proverbs are the best. Shakespeare said April is "the cruelest month," not sure why. It's always had many wonderful days in it (wink), including usually Easter, Passover, Opening Day of baseball (woo hoo) and simply the enjoyment of Spring....

And, oh!! This terrific month starts off with Jaycee's birthday!!

Yep, we all done good. It was a group effort. Thank you particularly for the artwork on the east wall. So much nicer than the original. ;-)

Thanks also for the compliments on the pledge graphic today. I was looking for something with a flag and spring-like flowers or an "April-ish" background and found an image of a seed packet for red, white and blue Larkspur. I removed the text and it worked out nicely for a pledge graphic.

For my dear friends, I have fretted all day because I couldn’t get on Free Republic. I started trying at 8:00 and kept getting that window about timing out. It would come up so quickly, I knew something was wrong. I tried other web sites and could get on...email was fine coming in so I got ahold of someone from my provider to help me. She said it had to be the website was down or something, if I could get on other websites, etc.

I tried for hours, then I had to leave to run a few errands and as soon as I was back I was trying again. Couldn’t get on! Then my sister in law came by for a visit and right before she pulled into the driveway...I finally got Free Republic to come through. I had an old email address for Jim Robinson and wrote an email to him this morning and got a return, saying it could not be received. Do not know what my problem was but seems okay at the moment. I am going to try to answer some of my pings, etc. and may have to catch up when I get back from dinner! Bye ya’ll.....

I don't get Shakespeare's characterization of April as the "cruelest month" either. Maybe he got his heart broken in April? Just a guess, I really have no idea.

I love April, mainly because it is no longer "March". I don't care what the calendar says, March is the LONGEST month! Seems like it has at least 45 days in it!

Thank you! I enjoy so much finding images and making pledge graphics out of them. If you happen to come across any American flag images on the internet that you think would work well for a pledge graphic, let me know. I am always looking for more.

This time I was trying to find something spring-like and found a Larkspur seed packet that ended up working out nicely. Playing in PhotoShop is an indulgence for me. It keeps me from doing things I should be doing, but I just can't resist sometimes.

Yes, March is the longest month seems like and it is windy every one of those long days! When April comes, it seems like spring arrived. We have a wonderful 72 here today! I haven’t got to go out and play in the dirt today though! Had other things to take care of...
