Troubled Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan is planning to appear naked in an low-budget film in an effort to revive her flailing career, it has been claimed.
The actress is said to have agreed to strip down for just £40,000 for the indie film Florence to prove herself as a "mature actress".
The 21-year-old, who previously played a pole dancer in the box-office flop I Know Who Killed Me, has reportedly agreed to "full frontal" nudity in her role as a nymphomaniac waitress in the drama.
An insider told The Sun: “Lindsay doesn't care she's getting paid peanuts. She wants to remind people she can act and that she is worth hiring.”
Another source added: “She is fully aware of the potential of her body. Lindsay wants to build up an image as a mature, responsible actress.”
The actress is no stranger to stripping down - she posed nude for New York magazine in March in a recreation of Marilyn Monroe's legendary 1962 shoot by Bert Stern.
Lindsay has previously spoken about her struggle to find quality acting roles following a difficult year which included yet another stint in rehab.
She said last month: "Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role.
"I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it's like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me."
The actress is also working a new album and she's hoping for big chart success.
In terms of sound, she says: "I want it to be kind of Kylie Minogue-meets-Rihanna. I hope to tour with it and I hope to really promote it."

What a shame. I think she’s a very good actress. Of the partying trio, she’s the only one with talent. She doesn’t have to do this. She needs to act responsibly to show that she’s mature.

I think it’s all really up to hollywood. She probably needs the work, and hollywood wants her to take her clothes off, so that’t all the work she’s being offered.
Um, Lindsey? Plenty of serious actresses have become successful without ever having to do a nude scene.
You do, however, have to be able to act.
A real actress could appear nude without actually being nude.
Walt Disney’s creation has been transformed into something much less than his dream I’d say. Sadly, it’s time to boycott Disney.

I read an article yesterday that said she was supposed to go nude from the waist up - so she told the producer she would go completely nude and they politely declined. They must have had a look at her Monroe pictures.
She was a cute kid. What a shame.

How about take a great part (for little pay) in a small film that requires you to gain 20-30 pounds, have a simple hairstyle and wear little to no make-up? Wouldn' that be more "serious"?

Ah, so things like morals and such just get in the way of entertainment.
That would take some serious professional acting skills to make an appearance of attractive, or a couple shots and a beer.
Perhaps you’re missing the availability of that script or film part? I don’t think she’s offered that many parts, so she has to take what is offered and make the most of it.
Is this the sequel for Showgirls? Except that Showgirls was actually a good comedy.
I don’t judge others morals, including movie studios. There are lots of movies that I haven’t seen ...besides, I happen to believe that morals are relative. What you consider immoral, obviously some others don’t. Please feel free to boycott anyone you like, just don’t tell others to.
What I watch on TV or what video games I play have little to do with my morals. My morals is how I live my life in the real world.
And yes, I plan on skipping this movie, not because Lohan will be nude, but because she's uninteresting.
My guess is that LilO is offering to do nudity to cash in before a sex tape of her is released. If she’s going to be nude, she might as well, like all good capitalist, make money.
