More legal trouble for Burlington County policeman charged with sexually assaulting three girls.

Authorities have charged Moorestown Officer Robert Melia Jr. with cruelty to animals. Authorities say Melia engaged in sex acts involving cows in 2006.

I grew up in the rural Deep South. Time was that a “stump broke” heifer was highly prized.

A family member of mine who was a police officer was called to a scene where a farmer found a guy in the act with a cow. The farmer beat the hell out of the guy and my relative took the pervert/cow lover to jail. For months, everytime my relative got on the radio to the dispatcher there would be sounds from the other officers, such as “moo” “baaa” “cockle do la do”.

I grew up in Hopatcong, 45 miles from NYC, people think it’s the country, it’s on the border of Morris and Sussex counties (both traditionally heavy Republican), in Sussex county.

We would play sports against the other Sussex county towns and they though Hopatcong was Manhattan. There’s TONS of open spaces and farms in NJ, less than an hour and a half from the idiots in Manhattan screaming that there’s not one last strip of land to build on in the entire country and we must stop.
