Wright when Obama thought it was over BY MICHAEL SAUL DAILY NEWS POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright Barack Obama's biggest headache is back.
His lightning-rod former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, is poised to reignite one of the most damaging controversies for the presidential candidate by jumping into the spotlight with a PBS interview Friday night and a Washington speech next week.
Wright said the media coverage of his incendiary sermons has been "unfair," "unjust," "untrue" and "devious," according to interview excerpts.
He said Obama responded like a "politician" to the flap.
"I do what I do. He does what politicians do," Wright declared.
"So that's what happened in Philadelphia where he had to respond to the sound bites, he responded as a politician," Wright said.
As the controversy last month threatened to cause severe damage to Obama's campaign, the senator delivered a major address on race relations in hopes of quelling the storm.
Obama said he condemned Wright's comments, but he defended his decision to remain a parishioner in his church.
"As imperfect as he may be, he has been like family to me. He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding and baptized my children," Obama said in the speech.
"I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother," Obama added.
Wright drew outrage for blaming America for 9/11 and howling, "God bless America.... No! ... God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human."
In the interview on "Bill Moyers Journal," Wright argued that the widely broadcast snippets of his sermons take his remarks out of context.
Referring to the media, he said, "They wanted to communicate that I am unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I am filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ.
"They know nothing about the church," he complained. "They know nothing about our prison ministry. They know nothing about our food ministry. They know nothing about our senior citizens home."
Wright admitted he's accustomed to being "at odds with the establishment," but he said the blowup following the media coverage has been "very, very unsettling" because it made him the "target of hatred."
The interview is Wright's first since he gained national attention. He plans to deliver a speech to the National Press Club on Monday.
Obama's campaign declined comment Thursday.

Talk about the gift that keeps on giving! This is great. I recommend people read the comments at the link too. There are a few really disturbed people out there who want to blame (you guessed it) the Jews for this glitch in Obama's annointment.

Why is this still an issue? I heard that Obama gave the Greatest Speech of Al-Time which solved every problem known to mankind. The media was in euphoria after ‘The Speech’ by their messiah. Much of the media is still weak in the knees just thinking about ‘The Speech’. How can this still be an issue?

Talk about “the chickens coming home to roost,” as the Rev Wright says! This guy is bound to do more harm for Obama than he's ever benefited him. And what are Obama’s motives for staying with this church since he's so good at explaining the motives of others and their religious convictions?

Rev Half-White Wright owes White America and America an apology for his racist remarks.
It is apparent Wright’s racist comments “done come home to roost for Ouma and him.”
A classic example of a “bold faced liar” in his excuse, “my words were taken out of context.”

I do know an “Urban Terrorist Organization” when I see one.
The BLT movement is not about God or Church, it is about blaming/hating whitey and America for their own dismal failures in life.

In the clips I’ve seen, Wright is obviously trying to come off as calm, reasoned, and the injured party which is probably why they did it in the first place. Time will tell if it actually works.
To: elhombrelibre
The Wright interview on PBS will certainly require some fancy origami expert of film editing.
If I would watch it at all (and that's highly unlikely) I would only do so out of morbid curiosity to measure how adroit PBS has become in their propaganda manipulation of interviewees and selective representation of media resources. If Wright doesn't come away smelling like a rose and looking like Mother Theresa, I would be shocked. It goes without saying, that PBS will NOT air video of the 'reverend's' "sermons".

They can't help themsleves. He and Obama want to put as good a face on this as possible because they feel their hate-filled, marxist Black Liberation Theology is taking a hit.
...and it is, and well it should. They are pblivious to the fact, or are just too proud to see it, that the more they spread Wright's face around, the more people who find out the truth.

I AM THE ONE I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR.

Jim Jones also had a prison ministry, a food ministry, and dozens of senior citizen’s homes.
Doesn’t mean Peoples Temple wasn’t a cult, and it doesn’t mean Jim Jones wasn’t an anti-American communist.

We know about his church. many of us here have been reading the nutbag rants of Wright on the "church" website. We have seen the videos that the "church" posted on its own website.

Wright said the media coverage of his incendiary sermons has been "unfair," "unjust," "untrue" and "devious As a "public service", PBS should air all of the respective sermons in their entirety, so that we can all fairly judge his words in their full context.
Someone such as Glen Beck needs to publicly challenge PBS to do this NOW, so that these wrongs against the good minister Wright can be exposed.

Wright admitted he’s accustomed to being “at odds with the establishment,” but he said the blowup following the media coverage has been “very, very unsettling” because it made him the “target of hatred.”
V-I-C-T-I-M!
“The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40 years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.”
“(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him,” Wright wrote in a eulogy for the late scholar Asa Hilliard. “The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”
The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing God Bless America. No, no, no, God damn America, thats in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.
