O2 has confirmed reports that the iPhone is not currently available anywhere in the UK, and customers may have to wait for the putative 3G Apple iPhone.

Their next version should roll out next month. They are probably just purging inventory so they doesn’t have to discount.
If consumer demand is still there, is it because they don’t know about the 3G coming out, or don’t care and would rather have the cheaper price ?
It’s not like retailers were losing money selling them at a discount.
iPhone has never been available in Canada. Heck, we just got TiVo!
We have GOT to do something about Canadian industrial espionage, or pretty soon, we'll all be speaking Canadian down here.
And I don't know aboot anybody else, but I wouldn't like that one bit.

Wonder who will be that last person in the U.S. to lock themselves into a 2-year contract on an obsolete piece of equipment ?
