What is your opinion of this receiver? I am thinking of purchasing one.

Long time ago Denver Ditdah (I believe) had a ham ping list. I was going to take it over but he was reluctant to give up control of the ping list (my opinion). I'm wondering if there is interest in getting a new ping list started?

I usually listen on 40 cw in the morning while reading the news. Can't wait for the higher bands to get open again. So does anyone else think a new ham ping list should be started?

I've owned an RX-320 for several years. I've always enjoyed using the rig, especially since there are so many great control interfaces available. I think the 320 is an excellent performer for the price.

Most of my listening these days is via my Sony 2010, but I do have ten or twelve boatacnhor receivers in the collection, including a near-mint Collins R-390A. :)

A lot of folks have shown interest in a dx/swl/ham pinglist

Well I purchased the ICOM 746 about 6 years ago when money was less tight.

My first one was a TS520S. A great transceiver, got it used for $300. I regret selling it some years ago. You can still get them in excellent condition for the same money.

There are some good recievers out there used and I was looking at a JRC 525

But I really like the idea of configurable DSP processing

Yeah, he apparently fell off the porch.

If someone wants to start another ping list, they can put me on it.

I believe it’s the freeware program by KF5OJ.

I’ll ask him if he would answer a few questions from you and if so, I’ll send you PM with his E-mail address.

Electric for the lights dim whenever it's keyed. ; )

(the florescent lights ignite and turn on without a switch)

I was on Denver Ditdah’s list. I think a new list is warranted and I’d be interested. Hope you decided to honcho it.

BTW All the audio is unintelligible on that sight, but I love the falling raster display. Thats what has me intrigued with DSP

Holy cow!
I got the radio tonight, and its been interesting.
I was disappointed that the Dxtra woldstation and Dream software wasnt in the package apparently I have to download that. Dxtra did send me license keys via email, but I would like a hard copy.

The antenna whip picks of tons of computer noise :(
They gave me a bare RCA Jack to hook up an antenna :(
Currently all I am using are mini jacks on my kaito 1103, soo..

I attempted to improvise. I couldt get crap! not even local AM! I was getting poed!

Then I realized that I was tuning it all wrong, punching in Mhz when it was looking for Hz/Khz

I got a signal but I wasnt that impressed. The Kaito was bringing the same signal in with the antenna down!

Then I touched a wire from the TV cable ground to the radio ground.. Whalaa!

I am now listening to 40 meters on a piece of 8 ft long speaker wire and its amazing! 50 watts clear as day out of ohio in Tx! The filter selections are great for SSB. The audio is VERY clear.

I intend to hook this up to a delta alpha Ultra Dx

I cant wait to get this thing on a real antenna!
