A jealous husband who suspected his wife of an affair took revenge by putting her for sale on eBay.
Paul Osborn, 44, kicked out wife Sharon and advertised her on the Internet auction site with bids hitting $969,890.
It offered his cheating, lying, adulterous slag of a wife to the highest bidder and became an Internet phenomenon, with users forwarding the link worldwide. But Sharon, 43, denies an affair and cops are now investigating Paul for harassment

Guilty!
Try the Emperor’s VIP Club — according to Elliot Spitzfong you can get a much younger, sluttier model for only a few thousand per throw...... Why risk almost a million dollars for damaged goods?
p.s. Who’s bidding so much on this anyway? Don’t E-bay bids get verified or secured somehow?

Putting his wife up for bid on e-bay would be the dumbest thing he could do as he would turn his “suspicions” of an affair into confirmation.

This remindes me of a conversation between Northern and Southern soldiers across the Rappahanock river following the civil war Battle of Fredricksburg. Shelby Foote reports it came from a soldier's journal:
Yank: Hey Johnny Reb, do you have a lame mule over there?
Reb: What you want a lame mule for?
Yank: I'll trade you General Burnside for it.
Reb: No thanks, I reckon I'll keep the mule.

That's really interesting, I saw a show yesterday on the History Channel about the Battle of Fredricksburg (plus I've visited the NP Fredricksburg battlefield twice). If you visit the battle site you can see the sunken lane, the stonewall, and what a death trap that was for the Yanks.
Yes, the Union troops' opinion of General Burnside after the battle couldn't have been lower. It was terrible, the troops were ordered to advance uphill over a large open field against a very protected Confederate position. They had horrible casualties, of course, and their wounded and dead were left on the field all that night and the next day while Burnside tried to make his mind up what to do next.
One 19 year old Confederate couldn't stand to hear the cries of the Union wounded on the field and collected water cans to carry to them. The firing stopped on both sides while that compassionate young man crossed the line twice to carry water to the Union wounded still lying on the field. It's too bad that the young private was killed the next year in battle.
It's said that at the battle of Gettysburg, when Lee pulled a Burnside and sent Pickett's men to be massacred in a somewhat situation, the Union troops were yelling, "For Fredricksburg!"
Burnside resigned his command and prospered very well in business afterward.

And Pickett never forgave Lee for that order and ended up in the insurance business. And all of us who read Civil War history remember that when Lee told Pickett to rally his division for the defense, Pickett allegedly replied, "General Lee, I have no division".
