Planned US Israeli Attack On Iran
Dandelion Salad ^ | May 14, 2008 | By Michel Chossudovsky

Posted on 05/18/2008 7:11:59 AM PDT by Fennie

The media has failed to cover the history of US war preparations directed against Iran. News coverage of US sponsored war preparations in relation to Iran started to surface in early 2007 in scanty press reports.

Although confirmed by official military documents and reports, public opinion has largely been kept in the dark and misinformed on these war preparations.

A war on Iran has been envisaged since the mid-1990s as part of a strategic "sequencing" of theater operations. During the Clinton administration, US Central Command (USCENTCOM) had formulated "in war theater plans" to invade first Iraq and then Iran.

"The US army, navy, air force and marines have all prepared battle plans and spent four years building bases and training for "Operation Iranian Freedom". Admiral Fallon, the former head of US Central Command [resigned in March 2008], has inherited computerized plans under the name TIRANNT (Theatre Iran Near Term)...

Good. That is the way it should be. The less everybody knows about it (most especially the Enemy and the Media) the better I like it.

War isn’t nearly so much fun if the Enemy doesn’t get to have his great big nasty surprise. Given half a chance, the Media will blab all about it and spoil the fun for everybody.

I’m sure we have a plan for war against Venezuela, too. Planning for every contingency is prudent. Activating the plan is something else completely.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we had a plan to invade nearly every country, including our allies. If an ally gets taken over by an aggressor, we would most certainly have plans to roust them off friendly soil.

Not to worry. We will have a President with a "D" by his name when the war commences. This will make it a necessary and glorious war, not an evil war.

United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). In 1999, Chossudovsky joined the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research as an adviser.

Pretty much the Axis of Evil. Especially the UN Population Fund, more accurately described as the UN Coerced-Abortion Lobby.

And I have senile relatives in nursing homes who are more in the loop about our military plans.

Chussovdosky is a moron. Every competent military formulates war plans for any theater in which they may be engaged. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Like carrying concealed, you'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Boy, if only that were true - there’d be a whole lot of happy Iranians.

Seems these stories of an impending US attack on Iran are a daily topic. Crude oil prices would immediately spike to over $200 per barrel (based on most recent prices). Gasoline price would push $5.00 within days (Diesel at $6.00+).

The US economy would wither.

That is not so. Reports have been coming almost daily for many months. True, it has not been covered in anything like a historical manner.

Wake up to what exactly? To support neutralizing Iran as soon as is possible, or to support allowing Iran to start a nuclear weapon production line that will run in parallel to its missile production line?

Actually, many of us have envisioned one since 1979 and now consider it 29 years overdue.

Have no doubt our military has plans for just about every possible situation. It’s just that the more likely ones are updated more frequently.

Ah, that is the rub. Needs done but the potential economic chaos and political fallout would not be acceptable in an election cycle.
