The Republic is Almost Done. Now Where?

The Republic of the United States of America is just about finished.

If Obama controls the Oval Office then our Republic will be destroyed from inane socialist policies from within.
If McCain controls the Oval Office then our Republic may also die from within due to his appeasement to Liberals. He MAY fight the good fight oversees, but he has little interest in maintaining our Constitutional Heritage state-side...witness the McCain/Feingold limitiations on 1st Amendment rights. Also, witness McCains position on the Shamnesty Bills he has tried to push through last years against the huge outcry of regular citizens.

Obama believes he has the understanding of our internal difficulties, but has little experience with international problems.

McCain has little understanding of internal problems (as he has admitted), but has the background to deal with the international threats.

We are doomed either way. From within or from without, the US will be facing its biggest challenges since our biginning days.

So what say you? Which political position would you fight for? Or are you even willing to fight? Choose well, because the end is coming, mark these words. And if you care anything about your country, you will have to chose sides.

God bless you, keep you safe, but be prepared to fight for what the Founding Fathers believed to be your inherent rights. Stand by...

Meh I don’t think its that bad yet. If Obama gets in I will say stick a fork in it though.

I won’t have much respect for my country if we elect Obama.

Naw. McCain’s no worse a RINO than Nixon or Ford, and better in some respects.

Don’t get carried away.

Just work so Obama doesn’t get in there. McCain can be dealt with.

Most of the worms who bitch about Bush will miss him in due course.

His resolve since 9/11 has been a refreshing change from the preening politics of the Clinton years and the upcoming Obama/McCain battle of the libs.

Some nations in east Asia are already hooking up with each other and are developing nukes for their new friends. Neither civilians nor REMFs will prepare us for that because of their favored constituents’ fears about oil prices and foreign trade.

We need another Patton as CiC, IMO, and more power to domestic manufacturing constituents. We need a will to fight.

Not true. An Obama presidency will mean that a real conservative will be elected in 2012. His first act will be to roll back the fiasco that will be nationalized health care. Then he will work to restore the military.

Best case is we get McQueeg elected but hold onto enough power in the senate and house to disallow passage of amnesty or global-warming socialist/fascist bills. In 2010 we should be able to take the Senate back, maybe the house as well.

The war we are now engaged in is a direct result of the Carter WH. If RWR couldn’t clean up that mess sufficiently to prevent so many deaths, how do you expect anyone to clean up after Obama’s capitulation to Islamic tyrants and socialists around the world? I just finished reading a second bio of the life and times of Alexander Hamilton....the more American history I read, the more confident I am that our political system is as corrupt yet not as chaotic as it ever was...with similar arguments, intrigue, political cheap shots and unwarranted hysteria consuming both parties. Top it all off with a blatantly biased media and nothing much has changed.

GWB has endured no greater or worse treatment than Adams, Jefferson or others have incurred.

if Obama get in we will change the way we keep our own money and give more to the government, in turn the government will change the way it spends the money, changing more programs to pretend to change the world into utopia, when we find out that utopia can’t be achieved we will change the meaning of the word utopia, to mean a world in which all modern technologies powered by energy is bad, we will change from cars back to horse and carts. Change, we will change the laws for partial birth abortions, we will change the way we define the word cannibalism, not to include harvesting embryos for stem cells, so the Hollywood stars can live longer to make more movies, and they in turn can keep changing their faces with face lifts, we will change what we watch too, diversity will be required so that nobody with a European heritage will be allowed a lead role unless they are supported by at least two citizens from Indonesia and one from, any other third world country bankrupted by morality , even if it means we have to change that all movies come with subtitles to understand what they are saying , but not to worry nobody will be able to read the subtitles, because obamas people will change the way education is run, handing out more money that won’t end up for the kids to teach them to read or write, but we can change that it is spent on sex education, and change more government to given to administrators pockets. We can also change words too, a church will no longer be a word that means where people go to worship God, but now its a place for politics, and hate mongering, we can change the definition of word terrorists too, so that if somebody attacks the pentagon, they are not terrorists, they are professors. Change, change, we need more change so that we can change the word change to mean anything that starts as good and gets screwed up, change means that the word good means bad and cold now is hot, and white is now black, or of color or whatever the changed term is for today.

Fine. What’s worst case? What’s medium case? Not that I’m challenging you to provide specific answers, but this stuff is alarming me. I am trying to resist the very pessimistic view expressed in the original post on this thread. Cause I could go there easily. Actually, I appreciate your optimism. I wish I could share it.

Population replacement, crushing taxation on older taxpayers and savers, crushing financial adjustments as banks tighten lending policies, and a government so incompetent it can’t even graft without getting caught, creating a new New Deal with amnesty attached, along with nationalized health care.

I expect in my lifetime to see Euro-American amd European Diaspora communities throughout the world. It could work out in the end, Jewish Diaspora, Maronite Diaspora, Assyrian Diaspora, Pakistani-Hindi Diaspora, etc has done well in their new homes even as their homelands were overrun by immigrants.

The out-migration from the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands to the four corners of the world will invigorate the economies of far flung remote outposts, and if the timing is right an individual who moves now could be a immigrant community anchor with quite a lot of influence and power in the new communities of expat migrants.

Places as dissimilar as Chennai, India, Chang Mai, Thailand, and Brataslava, Slovakia are seeing growing American communities. The trailblazing has mostly been done already, and the resources to migrate are just a few clicks away.

If Spain’s real estate market continues to crash, I would expect to see a million or more American retirees move to the otherwise empty residential developments built in the last 9 years if the conservatives retake control of Spain’s federal government.

You are right.

The British aren't going to burn Washington (but maybe they would if we asked nicely or maybe we could try to get the next World Cup finals held there)

The North isn't fighting the South, killing off 20,000+ Americans in an afternoon.

The Japanese Navy isn't threatening to invade the West Coast with the U.S. Pacific fleet sitting at the bottom of Pearl Harbor.

I wish I could believe that our nation would turn back and begin to understand what freedom is and what it does for humanity. However, having lived so much of the history which has brought us to this point, I am now resigned to a socialist and then a communist nation. We have heard the phrase which goes something like this..”Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” The oppressive patterns so recognizable in the goals of the governing left in America are so easy to identify. However, education about how our government works is not really taught in our schools anymore. In addition, we have a “celebrity” media, mostly removed from the harsh realities which grip most of us, enamored with it's own power and image as it repeats and repeats the “talking points” pushed by the major news outlets, which are words designed to force acceptance of the unacceptable by the masses. I see no heroes anywhere. The populism, the intimidating loud megaphone which is the media, the hedonistic nature of our society today, and now we know that ageism, sexism and racism do exert lots of influence, ironically by the same people who insisted that anyone practicing such would be punished. Get used to double standards, folks, and remember the laws they make for you, they do not have to live under themselves. Sorry to be so dark and morose, but there is an “elephant in the room” and it represents the threat of oppressive and confiscatory government. Thanks to everyone who posts here because the “voice in the wilderness,” does sometimes have an impact. God bless everyone and do remember to put your faith and trust in the one who is the same, “yesterday, today and forever.”

A Rather dark view. We survuved Johnson, Carter and Clinton.

We will survive whomever wins in November.

However, at the endof the day, remember that we have already had two violent revolutions in this country over the issue of the rule of law.

God has dealt with and is dealing with the United States of America....as He has dealt with and is dealing with every nation.

None of what we see happening is a surprise to our Sovereign Lord.

What shall we then do?

All in this country who are called by His Name (by His mercy and grace) MUST seek God’s face, come before Him in humility and repentance for our own sins and for the sins and rebellion of this nation’s people....and turn from OUR wicked ways, pleading for God’s mercy and intervention for this nation.

And as He has promised, He will have mercy and forgiveness and will turn and will heal this land.

God does not delight in the suffering that comes upon peoples and nations - by no means - but would have all turn to Him and be saved - both individually and as nations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

There is a good possibility that if Obama is elected he will over step his boundaries. The conservative base will be reinvigorated and ready to go. There will also be a recession that will put him on the defense. That recession will take down a lot of MSM papers and other media. We could be back in power by ‘12. Then again we could avid a recession and he might be successful and he will likely have 3 SCOTUS picks.

On the other side McCain will have been stabbed in the back by his media buddies, the 527’s he helped spawn will go out of the way to defeat him and the Hispanics vote for Obama. He may very well figure out which side his bread is buttered on. But the same recession will do us in and we will see a loss of Senate seats in ‘10 and we will probably still be dealing with the slime of the country club controlling our party and not even beginning to compete with the Dem’s. Then again maybe he would succeed though it is hard to see him getting conservative judges confirmed.

We bought a house in Vietnam 3-4 years ago for $20K, and the most recent verbal offer was for $110K. It’s a bit of a coin toss since the VN government is still resisting sensible real estate laws, and tough to do without the right contacts (my wife’s family), but I have hopes for the future there. In many ways VN resembles the America of the earlier 20th century. Certainly there’s opportunity there.

If anyone is considering such a move (one I heartily recommend), there is absolutely no substitute for visiting the target region for an extended period of time meaning a few months. There’s just no way to get a sense of things without being “boots on the ground”.

I like all of SE Asia, but I also hear good things about Ecuador (my niece taught there for a year), and others like other places.

Costa Rica is a great place economically, politically, etc. I'm just not sure it's far enough.

Also, I don't think you can posess firearms there.

No matter where one goes, the IRS is changing the way expats are treated. Better familiarize yourself with their rules, you won't be happy.

If the executive office of the federal government can take down the republic, there wasn't a republic in the first place.

We still have the power to fight to mitigate the damage at the state and local level and can wait him out.

It will take a while to recover from the foreign policy damage he's going to do, but the biggest threat right now seems to be from Iran, and I think Israel will do what's necessary there if we don't.

Domestically, cleaning up the mess is going to require doing what GWB was not willing to - take an adminstrative bulldozer to the beltway.

We are a republic, and the republic will survive if we have the balls to act like one.

You are not alone in your assessment here; and the bigger threat we face, may be just such thinking as this. IMHO. . .of course.

Can we reasonably imagine the luxury of time; if even only, for 'four years'? Think not. . .given what we see of our rapidly changing culture - thanks to it's refashioning by Liberal mentoring; and given the change of cultural expectations - thanks to Liberal RE-education. More thanks to Liberals needed here, of course; for their special committment to our Constitution, they so self-servingly view as a living, breathing- changing document; with adapting qualities, so embedded..

Special mention should be given here as well; to our Liberal Judges - engaged as they are, in making their own 'law' so as to further Leftist Agendas that otherwise would be prohibited by our Constitution or by citizen vote. (Federal Courts; 'the Supremes'. . .what might we have in just four years?)

Given what we know about the 'Utilitarian' MO - ends justifies means - MO of the radical Left - that we experience as the omniscient Totalitarian Collective - with it's 'power lust'; is it reasonable to assume that in four years, we would be so enabled, by these collectivists to successfully, move our Country foreward?

Think the 'CHANGE'(s) that Obama desires to implement; could well have our heads spinning, faster than Linda Blair's as she sat on her bed, in the 'Exorcist'. I don't want to risk four years - a timeline that could possibly stretch into a stolen future from our children; and perhaps, their children as well.

These people never take an 'inch' when they can steal a mile; we know that; and as we speak; they are close, damn close to both winning and stealing, our Country while ' attempting guarantees' that our population will NOT fight back; at least anytime soon.

Think our only hope is to insure; we NEVER give them such an opportunity for 'Power Enhancement'. For sure NOT, entrusting them with the power of America's Presidency; our Congress. . .our Courts; our Defense; our Military. As well, we cannot afford for them to own our Healthcare; our Educations system; our Children. (. . .and most importantly, we cannot allow them further ownership of our Minds; by way of now deadly viral strains of political correctness.)

Not for 'four years'; not for two. We absolutely cannot give any more, than they have already taken; or we have naively given. We must STOP now.

And while, McCain may favor some of these 'changes'; he is not ideologically rooted, as are these lovers of Marx; Chomsky; Alynsky. . .these appeasers of any totalitarian mind-set; including elements of radical Islam. McCain, most importantly, and by contrast, IS available to the 'Gifts of Reason'. All to say, we can more easily alter, change our course; maintain and/or recover, from a McCain Presidency.

If ONLY, for our National Security - and for the 'Grace of our Military' we cannot entertain such an insult as would be, a President Obama, Commander-in-Chief. Not for four years - not ever!

(As to restoring our Military; after four years of Obama; we surely would have a Draft by then; (who would actually join(?) and in a few more years; where would our patriots be grown from - given that ' God/Country allegiance'/Patriotism/Altruism', are now listed in the politically incorrect column under Social misbehaviors (and of the worst kind. If one considers only, the precariousness of our times; then time IS surely a luxury; and we can no longer afford.)

Dream on. Once in place, government programs never go away. Even when cut back, they keep their infrastructure and authority, ready for the next left-wing Tsunami of money. Remember how the Dept of Education and the NEA were going to go away under Ronald Reagan?

Our government today is mostly layer on layer of unsuccessful bureaucracies, created over the last 80 years, that have no more reason to exist than existence itself. Any justification for their power and budget that ever existed is long gone. But noone can do anything about it. The bureaucracy is a constituency unto itself.

McCain hasn't campaigned for any Republicans as of yet. So, they have no obligation to pass what he wants. If he wins.

In 2006, Schwartzeneggar didn't campaign for any CA Republicans. So, they do what they can to stop his new found liberal agenda.

HA! One, the president has no such power. Congress would have to eliminate the nationalized health care system. The chances of that are slim to none. What would happen is they would "reform" it, which nearly always results in an even worse outcome.

The WORST case is something on the lines of the Antichrist getting elected, losing the Senate by at least 7 more seats, losing at least 20 more house seats.

IN such a situation, by this time next year the Nazis (YES I DID say that!!) will have passed the fairness doctrine (goodbye talk-radio), gay marriage, removed ALL restrictions on abortions and passed FOCA, putting a stake in the prolife movement forever, placed a HUGE “windfall tax” on Big oil(hello $10/gallon gas), “national health ‘care”, and some draconian “green’ policies. Also—the military budget will most likely be cut by about a third or MORE.

By 2010, they will probably pass a gun-control law that will FORCE ALL citizens to “hand over” their “dangerous weapons”, at the point of a “friendly search”, by armed “social control officials”. A major hate crime law will have been passed, making a SERIOUS crime to say “fag”, raghead,, towelhead, wetback” or other such things. The boy scouts will have either allowed the pedophiles in—or be a memory.

ANd by that time....their will probably be a “minor attack” on the US by the muslims. One where about 20K are killed, or more...But the Antichrist will NOT fight back...and instead will offer a “peace offering” which will invite a MUCH bigger attack...Perhaps a “satellite launch” by NK or Iran”, unleashing an EMP blast or more than one, over the major areas of this country—to allow for for a HUGE attack on a major area like NY, LA DC or Chicago—killing over 100 THOUSAND people!!

I do not want to sound like an alarmist...but I am just trying to give a possible “worst case” scenario—and one that VERY easily could take place..if WE don't act to educate the sheeple NOW!!

The imminent fall of the Republic is a direct consequence of Constitutional Amendments 19,24, and 26, which gave the right to vote to Women, the landless, and those under 21.

These are exactly the people that are voting for this Marxist crypto-muslim, and now with Motor Voter and illegal aliens voting its not going to get any better.

At some point in the near future, conservatives are going to be hit with the reality that its all over but the shouting, this Republic is doomed, and a corrupt socialist government that makes the Soviet Union look like Sweden will take its place.

There are generations of survivors 'of course'; everywhere. They make the world go 'round'. . .

Castro and so far; his legacy has survived in Cuba. The Russian citizen has 'survived' - but who were the casualties; and 'what'was lost; and for how long; and what is it they are still missing? There are survivors in Zimbabwe; but one might ask; if they were the more fortunate. The children in the polyamous and 'Fundamental' Mormon sect are survivors; but perhaps not with their innocent souls in tact; their 'free wills' compromised, birthing their next generation. South African's know the pain of loss - and adaption.

America will survive; 'we' will prevail. But will our Country. . .and our citizeny be recognizeable should we take a peak, now, into our collective future.

Tomorrow, of course, depends on today. . .and what we do with it; and whether we have the necessary WILL to do the 'whatever it takes' to save America's 'original intent'.
