I visited one of my friends yesterday. She’s an opera diva. Didn’t last 36 hours, though, but it sure felt like it.

Komodo dragons have toxic saliva. If the bite doesn't kill you the infections will. Better to dive in a swimming pool with lots of chlorine.

Most dive knives tend to the smaller size, ie 3 inch blades. The bigger knives tend to have blunted ends, still very sharp but no point. Idea is that you won’t stick it into your leg when trying to sheath it.

Regardless, I would not want to take on a 8 foot komodo with a 6 inch knife.

Oh and many divers carry stupid little safety knives which are kinda like a letter opener, designed to only cut lines or other thin materials.

Maybe they could have cooked something in “Dragon Fire”.

So the dive boat didn’t have spotters? Nobody was on the boat when everyone went diving?

I’ve heard the currents there can be quite wicked. I was surprised that they were able to stay together and didn’t get separated.

All they needed to do is find the biggest lizard and pull a thorn out of his foot. Then he’d be their buddy for life!

And also a Czech.

The Swede and the Czech went searching for water, stumbled across a pair of mating komodo dragons and were both eaten in view of the other castaways.

Once rescuers arrived, one of the dragons, the female, was shot and killed. The male escaped.

An autopsy on the female showed the remains of Swede.

It was therefore determined that ......

..... the Czech was in the male. ;-)

I’d tell them to make a movie about it, but I guess one has already been done (Komodo 1999). But if they do decide to make a picture about their experiences, I hope they use a better CG company than the one the Sci-Fi Channel uses. I can’t even stand to watch their movies anymore because the graphics are so bad.
