A ban on bikinis at the city pool is expected to be revised, ending a short-lived prohibition on the popular two-piece pool attire.
The restrictions were not popular, even in the community where the council passed a resolution in 2006 to favor the "natural family" consisting of a working husband, a stay-at-home wife and a "full quiver of children."

In keeping with socal_parrot's essential 'educational' theme, here's a rare photo of an undercover operative in a highly classified 'bulletproof metallic' bikini, apparently taken during a hazardous mission

Early bikinis were extremely effective, in that they provided yet another essential purpose for animal skins and so brought meaning to the lives of otherwise unhappy creatures..

Note however, that bikinis require occasional adjustment...

In keeping with socal_parrot's essential 'educational' theme, ... As a demonstration of the mathematical principle that "LESS IS MORE", we also can see that the string bikini has very little to recommend it as a shield against the sun... so we hope that these girls have good sense.

Bikini History, cont'dBikinis played a crucial role in America's Civil War, as brave soldiers from both sides worked tirelessly and in astonishingly innovative ways to win the day. Here is a photo of a covert Confederate soldier, taken immediately after a sea insertion onto a Northern beachhead, where she is engaged in an 'information gathering and morale assessment' mission.

Well, I suppose then it would be necessary to also include the contribution of the Union soldiers as well...

"... immediately after a sea insertion onto a Northern beachhead..." I dunno, looks to me like that "insertion" had the effect of making that soldier take a leak.
Establishing a beachhead might require reconnoitering for a while...

I had a co-worker years ago who had an expression for something not being received well or being unpopular, sort of like "that'll go over like a lead balloon". It was: "That'll go over like a turd in the punchbowl."
Most of us (guys, natch) thought it was hilarious, but he said it one time in a meeting and one of the women workers was so grossed out (she must've been very good at mental visualization) that she had to leave the room and toss.
It is unknown to me whether this fellow had actual experience with turds in punchbowls, but knowing him, it's not out of the question.
I personally find pissing in the punchbowl grosser, because you wouldn't necessarily be able to tell just by looking. Whereas with a turd, it's immediately obviously that something just ain't right about that punch.
