Here we go!
Educating Rita
Escape from Sobibor
Elephant Man
Elizabeth
The Eagle has Landed
Event Horizon
Enter The Dragon
Election
Edward Scissorhands
Enron: the Smartest Guys in the Room
TOPICS: TV/Movies
KEYWORDS:
Event HorizonA Haunted House in space?
See Event Horizon and it will definitely give you the chills. However, the cast are the main stars of the movie, from Sam Neil (like youve never seen him before!) as the ubiquitous Dr. Weir to Laurence Fishburne as the Captain everyone could depend on, Miller. Sprinkle with the dependable Jason Isaacs and the beautiful Joely Richardson, plus a rather subdued Kathleen Quinlan and here comes Sci-Fi/horror at its best.
That said, the ship and its occupants play a huge role in setting the mood. The special effects are top drawer, and the soundtrack also plays its part in creating an atmosphere of impending doom.
Event Horizon seems to have two camps. You either love it or hate it. If you want to be stimulated, have an open mind, and are prepared to be both scared and disturbed, this ones for you; NOT for the kiddies!
Otherwise just harp on how its a rip off of Solaris, 2010 etc.

I wasn't even aware Patrick Stewart was in the movie, until I verified with IMDB. Nevertheless, a flawed classic at best. The soundtrack makes it a stand out.

Great soundtrack
Thought the movie to be a little long winded.

I probably fall into the "hate it" camp, but I really wouldn't know.
I've never been able to make it even half way through it.

Experiment In Terror—with Glenn Ford, Lee Remick, and Stephanie Powers (1962). No, despite what the title suggests, it’s not a movie about an attempt to bring Senator Bob La Follette (R-Wisc.) back to life.
