Heather Locklear has checked herself into a psychological treatment facility in Arizona, her publicist told People magazine.
"Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment," said the actress's rep, Cece Yorke. "This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released."

She’s crazy, like a fox.
They shouldn’t put this in the news. Obviously she has issues and seeking help. Leave it alone. Give her some space and privacy.
Says Heather Locklear's rep, after she spills the beans. Sheesh. Advice to Heather: Fire your rep.
> Good luck to her...
Amen, and goodon’er for seeking help and treatment. Depression is no joke. I wish her well.
> I still remember her from 1980s when she played a cop in TJ HOOKER. (With William Shatner) She’s 46 now...
Me too. The TV show that popularized the PR-24 Baton. She was cute then, and still isn’t too hard on the eyes, either!
Isn’t she a conservative Republican?
Getting away from Hollywood might help - that place would drive me nuts.
I hope she gets better and finds peace of mind.
I lift her up to God...
I doubt it.
Richie Sambora is an idiot! I’ve always been partial to Heather. First saw her in the movie “Firestarter” as the mother of Drew Barrymore and thought what a beautiful fresh-looking young actress. Depression is a toughie, prayers for Heather’s complete recovery.
Sorry, but I’m sure she wanted it to be made public if her PR rep is flapping her gums like this. Confidential medical matter... oh yahh. Welcome to la-la land.
Even when they seek treatment like this, they know there will be some way to generate this into a career boost down the road, so they make sure the public knows.
By the end of this week, she’ll be on the front page of many of those magazines at the checkout counter. “Heather in crisis!!!”
Then she’ll be on the cover of people magazine in a few months with some storyline about how much of a victim she is and how she battled her demons, etc, etc... Then the offers come in for tv show apperances. The usual drill for hollwood actresses hitting their 40’s and 50’s whose careers are fading fast and they can’t pull off the role of nympho sex kitten anymore.
I’m not trying to diss her because she has problems. But the fact she had to go out of her way to annouce to the world whats happening says that she’s also seeking to profit from this somehow.
Yes she is. Surprised no news articles have mentioned that yet. Hope she comes through OK.
And oddly enough good friends with David Spade another person who is shockingly right of center.
Yeah, but most people are surprised when they hear that Adam Sandler and Dennis Hopper are Republicans — along with Jack Nicholson.
She's a well known Hollywood type. If her rep didn't make it public, someone would have. This is an attempt to control the kind of vile rumors that sell tabloids. If she wanted to boost her career she'd be claiming addiction to cocaine and sex.
I don’t know how ‘conservative’ she is but she supports Republicans financially.
Not sure about Heather, but Bo Derek is firmly in the GOP camp.
She was an Air Force brat, too.
I remember when she first appeared in Dynasty in those skimpy little daisy dukes....

Ahhhh, Sammy Joe. sigh...
When I was 17 years old, I knew something bad was wrong. My father was dead; my mother was nuts; my sister was a sociopath; (I didn't know and understand all of that at the time) and I was suicidal. I went to a psychiatrist--in defiance of my outraged mother, who was determined to stop me and terrified at what other people might think (as though I cared)--and got a job after school to pay him. It changed my life. Today--many years later--I am practically a normal human being. My therapist became a surrogate father to me, after many years. My wife and I had dinner with him and his wife a few weeks ago.
I'm glad I defied my mother!
I was a hell of a lot smarter than her, my nutcase father (who used to beat me with a leather strap when I was a small child), and my disgusting sociopathic sister.
And I have been happily married to the same fabulous, beautiful, brilliant, clear thinking, and far from nutty woman--who understands truth and growth, their value, and all their possibilities--for many years!
I escaped that nuthouse I was raised in.
And life (including sex and everything else!) gets better and better and better as time goes on! What a wonderful world!
Good luck, Heather! Keep working at it!
BTW, at a very early age, I learned something that America's professional victims would do well to learn--self reliance: Life can be happy and beautiful (or it can be hell), but ONLY YOU can make your life happy and beautiful! Nobody can do it for you.
I'm sure that the rep only released this information at the direction of her boss. This is a pre-emptive strike. Had they not made this announcement, the Hollywood media would quickly have gotten hold of the information that Locklear had checked into a treatment facility and there would have been stories about how she was in there for coke addiction or alcoholism or something. This way they can set the record straight: she has nothing to be ashamed of, and nothing that would prevent her from working in a responsible way as an addiction would.
Yup some men are just stupid. Remember some guy divorced Holly Berry too.
When you look up Heather Locklear in either Federal Election Commission Individual Search or Newsmeat.com, all you see is one $1000 donation to Randy Hoffman, Republican congressional candidate, in 1998. No other political donations of any kind before or since. Nothing for “Heather Sambora.” I bet she had some kind of social connection with Hoffman, who must have lost.
Dennis Hopper is and has been since his own recovery in the 1980s.
Jack Nicholson is not.

Adam Sandler has given to Giuliani.
Your issue is with her publicist (you do get the root meaning of the word, right?), not with Fox News. Had Heather chosen to keep this private, she could have.
Didn’t Locklear’s character got into a fight with some other lady on DYNASTY...And they ended up in a swimming pool. I don’t know. It has been a long time ago...
Were you a regular watcher of DYNASTY? I never watched an entire episode of DYNASTY...Just a few minutes here and there...I do like the theme song of DYNASTY though.
About the baton episode...She throws a baton at a guy who is running away. The baton ends up between his legs and he falls down on the ground. You always saw that at the start of the show...
I remember an episode where Hooker and Heather were in training with the PR-24. Hooker, of course, the instructor, and Heather the student...
It was pure Hollywood, granted — but to me it became obvious even back then that the PR-24 was a very formidable weapon that could extend an opponent’s reach by at least one third, and that could add amazing leverage to a strike, comparable to nunchuks except with very good control.
I would not want to encounter a competent PR-24 opponent if unarmed (as I always am). Broken bones and a hospital stay would be the best likely outcome for me.
that is certainly not necessarily a republican credential LOL
.
Heather, I’m here for you baby.
I used to tune in to Dynasty “fer the wimin!”. It was basically a spin-off from Dallas. If not directly related, it was an attempt to tap into the popularity of Dallas.
I think Sammy Jo (Heather) got into a mudfight with the Blake Carrington’s daughter (Pamela Sue Martin?) I could be wrong, it’s been years. And I think Crystal (Linda Evans) and the ex-Mrs. Carrington (Joan Collins) got into a fight where they wound up in the pool. But again, I could be wrong.
Oh, yeah, Sammy-Jo. Ooh-lala
