Hi-res version on the film’s official website, 007.com. Much better quality.

Casino with Craig was such a relief after decades of utter crap, but Ian Fleming would not recognise this guy as Bond.

Huge Bond fan. Looks awesome. Love how they’ve taken it back to the begining, but with a modern stage.

I agree with nkycincinnatikid. While Craig did well in the role, there was precious little of the British sophistication in his performance that Fleming wrote into the character. He seemed more ex-SAS than ex-Royal navy, IMHO.

I hope that not every Bond film contains Judy Dench “not trusting Bond”. Maybe if she watched previous Bond films, she’d get the point and figure he’s on the Queen’s side. (((sigh)))

I liked it too, but as a woman I do not find Daniel Craig’s face visually stimulating. He is a great actor, from the neck down. Clive Owen, Ben Barnes, Gerald Butler and Jackie Broyles are better choices and easy on the eyes./Just Asking - seoul62......

I think they should have remade Live and Let Die (it is the book that follows Casino Royale) but that wouldn't fly in these political correct times.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Fleming’s original creation was a brutal, gritty, hardened killer. An alcoholic womanizer addicted to pain killers and a chain smoker and kind of an unstable manic depressive. Most of the suaveness came from the transition to the movies. And I actually thought there was a LOT of class and sophistication to the Craig-Bond...it was just a darker and more mysterious kind. I thought he had a real Steve McQueen quiet-loner-tough-guy kind of screen presence.

Sorry had a long day and I have a case of the giggles but I figured it out: Daniel Craig’s face reminds me of the Cro-Magnon Man, not easy on the eyes. Now, the actor Clive Owen would be perfect for the role and he is definitely easy on the eyes./Just Asking - seoul62......

“Easy on the eyes” doesn’t necessarily equal “Great choice for Bond”, IMO. I don’t think Clive Owen would have been a good choice at all.

I would say that you are wrong. I’m no expert, but I spent an entire summer studying all of Ian Fleming’s work which at that time was kept at Indiana University’s Lilly Library (I’m not sure if it still is). The novel “The Spy Who Loved Me” is particulary interesting since it was written from the viewpoint of the woman.

Folks

Fleming wrote 007 as the ultimate disgruntled loner who had lost everyone who he ever cared for and had only his job to make him whole. He had two loves in the 007 universe, Vesper Lynd, and later..Tracy...who was murdered. Everyone he ever cared for died on him. So he became sort of a controlled murderer who M turned loose at the proper time.

Well...thats how I saw him...I could be wrong.

As for the trailer, I think its gonna be better than casino royale, which, in my opinion, was the best movie of 2006 bar none..

Well..it was the only movie I went to see that year...so Im sort of jaded...

I even have my own walther P-99...can’t afford an aston martin so I settled for the gun.

This one's been done before, albeit with a slightly different plotline.

Anyone remember (the highly-forgettable) "License to Kill" back in the 90's with the equally-forgettable Timothy Dalton?

He went off half-cocked on a revenge-quest on that one as well. The original "M" revoked his Double-0 status to try to prevent him from doing anything after baddies attempted to kill his FBI-pal Felix Leiter after his wedding (and succeeded in killing his new bride).

After seeing the trailer for "QoS", it looks kinda like a re-hash of "LtK".

Why do you think that? Hair-color aside, I really thought he was a pretty convincing Bond — and I say that, having read all Fleming’s books, and thinking Sean Connery has pretty much been *it,* Bondwise.

I highly enjoyed “Licence to Kill.” I think it’s one of the most underrated Bond flicks. Even though this one may have similar themes, however, I don’t think it will be a “re-hash.”

What I find attractive varies from pretty boy soccer star: Beckham to the bearded, overall radio personality of Red State.Com: Jackie Broyles, who is no pretty boy, but he is attractive in my eyes, quite charming. Pretty boys, all the time makes the conversation and party dull!!!!!!/Just Asking - seoul62........

What type of “assault rifle” is he carrying in the trailer? It looks like the one he had at the end of Royale when he caught up with that old guy.

Benicio Del Toro was in that film...As one of the main villain’s underlings...

THE SPY WHO LOVED ME takes place in upstate New York.

The movie version is not like the novel...
By the way, I think THE SPY WHO LOVED ME was probably Roger Moore’s best Bond film...

It is nice to see quality from franchise movies recently. Between this and The Dark Knight, sequels are actually interesting and capable of topping what came before them.

I like Craig as Bond. I think they caught him at just the right time. Clive Owen would have been a good pick as well, but I think he became just a little too famous right before time for casting.

I’m excited to see the trailer for Terminator: Salvation. I like Christian Bale but how many franchises does he need to rescue. Unfortunately, Terminator is all on him since I don’t trust McG as far as I can throw him. Now if James Cameron had come back, my excitement for T:S would be at TDK levels.

HK UMP..IN either 40 or 45 acp caliber. Has a silencer on the end. Its techically a submachine gun since it fires a pistol caliber.

They weren't bad, they weren't great. I think Garner tried to update Bond into the 1980’s and thus he dated Bond. I like Classic Bond, because he was cold and calculating without sentimentality. I think Casino Royale was one of the best realizations of the Fleming books. I think the other was “On Her Majesty's Secret Service” with George Lazenby.

Bond smoked too much, drank too much, and liked his ladies. It was because of the job he did. Alcohol and cigarettes numbed his senses. Women were for pleasure, silly but necessary. Pills? No, he wasn’t into that.

ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE was a great entry in the Bond series...OK...Lazenby was no Sean Connery, who ended up with an Oscar for his role in UNTOUCHABLES. But, Lazenby gave a good performance.

That’s one of my favorites, along with the one-time Bond George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I really like the way that the current franchise is headed, and hope that they can keep up the good work.

I’m sure we will find out in the next few weeks. I’m guessing you mean Batman Begins and not Batman Returns. The reviews of The Dark Knight so far have been gushing. We will see if that trend continues. From the previews it looks amazing.
