New Orleans Mayor Reacts To 31% Approval Rating
WRNO, Rush Radio, 99.5 FM, New Orleans, LA ^ | July 9, 2008 | Richard Hunter

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin refutes the findings of the latest UNO Quality of Life Study that show his approval rating has declined from 40 percent to 31 percent.

"I think UNO needs a little more money in its budget. The sample size was pretty small, as well as, the margin of error was at 10 percent in Orleans Parish, which is unusual for somebody trying to assess the approval rating of a political leader. Nobody does that," said Nagin in an exclusive interview with Rush Radio 99.5 WRNO.

According to the UNO poll, 49 percent of black respondents approve of the job Nagin is doing while only 11 percent of white respondents believe the Mayor is doing a good job. But Nagin says he doesn't buy that.

"I don't believe that one segment of the population understands this recovery and the delays of money and another one doesn't. It just doesn't make sense," said Nagin.

Ray Ray has an approval rating of 31% in the city of New Orleans.

Crime, corruption and chaos still pervade Orleans Parish three years after Hurricane Katrina.

Jefferson Parish, on the other hand, is really turning things around.

JP President Aaron Broussard has seen an increase in his popularity ratings.

This guy is probably one of the most incompetent, crooked POS’s holding public office right now. He’s an embarrassment and his incompetence borders on criminal.

Thirty one percent, that is even worse than President Bush.

Pollster: I'd like you to give me your approval rating for two public officials.
Resident: Okay. Can you tell me a little bit about them?
Pollster: Of course. The first guy is a black politician and the second guy is a white politician. Now here's what I want to --
Resident: The black guy is really cool. I give him 85% approval. The white guy sucks. 20% approval at best.
Pollster: But I didn't give you their names.
Resident: I don't need their damn names!

Hahahahahaha!!!

General Nagin wouldn't even have 31% had they polled taxpayers only.

“Jefferson Parish, on the other hand, is really turning things around. “

Crime is up in Jefferson. Same in St Tammany.

True, but I feel more comfortable in Jefferson, Plaquemines and St. Tammany Parishes.

It's Orleans Parish that always boils my blood.

I REALLY dislike it when folks wear a beret like a pizza.

When I earned mine, I was taught how to wear it.

They re-elected the stupid scumbag — and they’d do it again! It’s hard to commiserate with a Democrat electorate with lemming propensities.

Can’t we all just move along?

Katrinna happened three years ago next month!

The people in Iowa haven’t made a peep.

Now NO knows where the flood plain really ends. Level the Ninth Ward and make a park—call it AnteBellum State Park.

So if the levee fails again, the grass gets wet.

I wish someone would just tell Nagin to STFU already.
