Please say a prayer for our FReeper FRiend Tony Snow and his family. Tony we will miss you.
Good morning.
From Bahrain... Today!! Wishing Tony Snow Eternal Peace!
Thank you.
We will truly miss Tony Snow - he was salt of the earth.
Sad, sad day. - He was no Scott McClelland
Good morning.
Our FRiend will be greatly missed. Tony was one of the good guys.
It is one of the coolest things about FR. Tony posted here! And even though he rubbed shoulders with great ones, he rubbed shoulders with me through FR. You could chat with him. He was so friendly and so open. Tony’s type of person isn’t often on this earth.
Good bye, Tony. You will be missed.
Bahrain! What are you doing in Bahrain?
Tony = a true gentleman.
Been out for awhile.
We went to Illinois during the week to see my wife's sister. (Susan. She had cancer...) We spent several days visiting with her in the hospital. We left Wednesday afternoon to come back to Wisconsin.
We found out yesterday morning she had passed away. We will head back to Illinois for the funeral early next week.
Susan's husband is a minister and will handle the service. The family has a great faith.
On the lighter side Brett Favre now wants to be released from the Packers. It was confirmed this morming that he wanted to come back in March. Brett had called the Packer organization stating his intentions of coming back. The Packers put gears in motion; chartered a jet to fly out there to make it official. Two days before the event was to take place Brett called and stated he had changed his mind.
This is getting ugly. I think Brett's image is becoming tarnished all by his own doing. Yuck!
Brett needs to retire... End of story....and
Prayer for Tony Snow!!
Yes, Tony was one of our peeps. We’ve lost another freedom fighter.
So sorry to hear about your wife’s sister. Prayers for your family, J.
R and R from Alcohol free Kuwait!! haha
What was remarkable was to see Susan so full of life. She was more concerned about everyone else's welfare rather than her own. She knew there was nothing else that could be done, but wanted to make sure others were fine.
I find that to be a real testament to her nature and faith.
Sad, sad day. - He was no Scott McClelland
an Understatement.. I Thought Tony was the Best!!
'Greatest surgeon of the 20th century' dies -- Dr. Michael DeBakey: 1908-2008. Dr. DeBakey was a great man.
I know what you mean. It is kinda the way I feel when I go outside Indonesia.
Oh good grief. Who is going to be the third? :((
RIP Tony. Prayers for his family.

Tida apa apa ..You have 64000 Islands in Indonesia.. You always have Malaysia or Singapore Thailand Phillipines Hong Kong... should be too much of a problem less you Go to RKSA or KW
Can we really count Dr. DeBakey? He was 99 and had lived a long full life. I don’t mean to be callous, but everyone dies. Dr. DeBakey’s death was from “natural causes”.
Tony Snow, otoh, was young, my age, in fact. In a manner of speaking, he wasn’t through living yet.
Agak persoalan! Bangsa-bangsa yang lain terlalu jauh dan MAHAL SEKALI dari Papua.
Translation: It's a big problem. Those other countries are too far and TOO EXPENSIVE to get there from Papua.
So you understand bahasa Indonesia? Well. I guess we should run for president.
So sad about Tony! Darn. I thought he was beating the cancer. Helps to know he’s with the Lord.
Just read an AP article via AOL about Tony. It was very negative. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........................
Not surprised that the Russert articles were not that.
I just read about Tony Snow’s death. May God bless his wife and family.
I must have read the same article. It’s too bad the press can’t leave politics and gotcha’s out of announcing someone’s death.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, mouth watering goooood!
Hey, I’m a Southerner and I didn’t get a ping. ;)
However looking at that I’m not offended. lol

That is HILARIOUS, UG!
Such devasting news to wake up to.
Tony Snow was truly the Renaissance Man....one who also loved the Lord. I'm telling myself that our loss is Heaven's gain, (but I am still weeping).
I can go along with that kind of octopus.
Good Morning Everyone,
It is a sad day. Prayers going out to his loved ones.
One a somewhat different note-
yesterday I was stuck in the waiting room with mom most of the morning. I was TRAPPED watching CNN. It was literally been YEARS since I had the misfortune of watching that station.
Well in the time I had to sit there, over and over they made fun of John McC, criticized him, mocked him, and flat out did nothing but make him look bad, while all the while making obabma look highly intelligent, youthful, and charismatic.
There were several foreigners in the waiting room and they all liked obama and were laughing at McC. The foreigers showed up with NO insurance and NO photo ID when they checked in. (Mom HAS to show a photo ID)
One group was from Mexico and one group looked to be from India or that part of the world.
It made me so mad they were making fun of Mc C and I’m sure they’ll probably all be voting this Nov.
Well that’s my rant for the day.
And WELCOME TO ATRW! Where down here do you live (just a general thought like, NC or AUBURN! or Gulfcoast, etc.)?
Transplanted from Ga to NC but my heart is still in GA.
Thanks for the welcome. :)
Welcome!
Go Dawgs!
I could kick myself for waiting this long. My summer activities have been less than active and I will be just about fully recover for fall and winter. Blah!
I will be having fresh yellow squash for lunch. I didn't plant any this year because I am the only one, here, who eats it. I can't believe that 2 seeds must have survived the winter. The two plants that came up are huge and have many buds. I'm happy!
Good one, kassie.
LOL.
I’ve put it on my calendar. I’ll be praying.
I’m glad you have it scheduled and getting it taken care of. There never seems to be a perfect time to plan these things!
Awww, that’s neat about your volunteer squash. :)
Now that is talent!
/johnny
That is too funny.
Further good news about your squash. LOL...wish I could ship you even more of them from my bountiful garden. (I think the neighbors are getting a little tired of my squash and cucumber deliveries. 8)
Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "I was determined to know beans." Well, I definitely know them....my little patch is outdoing itself. Sweet green peppers (currently $.98 each at Wal-Mart) are free for the asking HERE. Tomatoes are providing some welcome red color to the garden. But alas, my healthy okra plants are still bashful about blooming.
I am so looking forward to having some fried okra w/fresh corn, sliced tomato, and maybe some potato salad on the side....no need for meat for such a meal. YUMMY!
/johnny
Sad news that Tony Snow has past. What a classy guy. Good heart, great character. Prayers to his family and friends for comfort in this time of sorrow.
Both the First lady and I have spoken with Tony over the years. Some on his radio show, some here on FR. We will miss you Tony, but one day we will see you on the other side. Oh, and if you get a chance, give Russert the 'bird' for me.
"Hi" to everybody. And what the heck was "that" Utah? I usually eat my squid raw.
