ATHENS (Reuters) - Nine British women were facing prostitution charges after being arrested at the weekend for taking part in an oral sex competition in the Greek holiday island of Zakynthos, police said on Monday.
Six British and six Greek men, including two bar owners, were also charged in the incident, which took place at Laganas beach in the south of the Ionian island, which lies off the west coast of mainland Greece, police said.
The women, who came to the popular resort on holiday, had been paid to take part in the competition, which was video recorded and was to be posted on the Internet, police said.

Remember Hugh Grant?
Remember that prostitute
that Grant hooked up with? *
I'm not sure Freepers
want to vacation someplace
where Brit hookers play . . .
----------------------------------------------
* I know that was here,
but it was indicative
of Brit taste in sex.
To: PghBaldy
The Brits were later heard saying their vacation had left a bad taste in their mouth.

I was going to make a witty remark, but then I thought about how depraved this was, and pretty much decided they all need to go to jail.
And no, not a prude. This is just amoral.

This is one competition, like a wine tasting, that couldn’t be judged without hands on comparisons in my opinion.
Do you suppose the judges were paid or were voluteers?

I know (as you do) that there will always be the inevitable chuckles and snickers and jokes about "where to go on their next vacation", but the fact is, NObody (that is, nobody with an actual sense of morality and conscience would be very pleased if it turned out that it was their daughter, mother, wife, etc., who was engaging in that sort of amoral behavior.
Sure, we all make jokes about it (I'm guilty too) but the bottom line has to be whether or not we condone or condemn this sort of depravity.
I condemn it.

I figgered most British women weren't interested in that sort of thing. Like Liz, for example:

“Amorality should result in jail time?”
Not always, but sometimes, sure. And it is up to the local society to set the limits of what is publically tolerable.
I am not going to second guess what should or should not be legal in Greece. Within the barest of guidelines, it’s up to the Greek people to decide what is, and is not, acceptible behavior in their countries.
Public sex and prostitution is illegal in most countries, and have been for a long time; this is not a shocking law, so it is not for non-Greeks to second guess.

Hey Tex, you got off easy, usually Stuart practically spams the entire thread asking the same sort of questions over and over and over and over and he's never satisfied with whatever answer he gets! LOL

According to my brit sources, this has been going on forever; it is just usually not given such high-profile coverage, for obvious reasons.
Just log onto any Brit travel Agency and see what is offered (presumably because of the demand).
