something funky happened when he was in congress and I'm just sure that the secret lies in those "misplaced" FBI files.
That was the year condit, kasich and olberman decided that their families were important...or whatever.

Merely being friends with a leftist does not mean you are a sellout.
In fact, I would argue that using politics as a criterion for beginning, maintaining or ending friendships is a leftist impulse, not a conservative one.

just doing what he needs to do to get paid I guess..
Typical Rino....
That 94 class was a mirage from the looks of it.. Not true leaders-
True liberals..

There is nothing more corrupt than money and star power. To be a beloved star you HAVE to become liberal so the fawning can begin. Money is another matter. Everyone has a price. What else could this guy do to make the money he makes? Why he would have to be a lawyer and work hard without the headlines and all those invitations to the elite parties. Some people always forget when they came from and who brought them to the party.

Scarborough lost me when he started cheerleading for Hillary Clinton. He was rooting for her back in 2006! Remember when he said with certainty that she would be the Democratic nominee and Obami should just hang it up.
She has been on his show numerous times and each time it has been a lovefest.
Scarborough knows that his bias for her is obvious so he tries to cover it up by sarcastically refering to her as “his girlfriend.”
Now Scarborough is more favorable to McCain, but if big hips would have won the Dem. nomination you best believe that he would still be shilling for Hillary as President.

Perhaps, but I have lost friends once they found out I was a conservative.

If Scarborough were to catch fire, I guess I’d cross the street to pee on him.

Perhaps, but I have lost friends once they found out I was a conservative. Exactly my point. It's happened to me too - especially when I lived in Manhattan.

In fact, I would argue that using politics as a criterion for beginning, maintaining or ending friendships is a leftist impulse, not a conservative one. That would depend entirely upon the other party. I avoid discussing politics, but I won't sit still for leftwing self-righteousness & hypocricy. It turns my stomach.

Never trusted Joe Scarborough and for good reason.
Anyone working for MSNBC is not in their right mind.

I could very easily see myself at a bar having a beer with Ron Kuby, and having a good time. I could not see myself in the same room with Olbermann. His politics aside, he is a nasty, viscious person and totally self absorbed.
To: sauropod
Perhaps, but I have lost friends once they found out I was a conservative. how is it that you were friends when they didn't even know your core beliefs? i have liberal friends... most of my friends are conservative but a few are libs... and i relatives who are liberal with whom i have great relationships... with some i never, ever talk politics... with others, i do...

Scalia and Ginsberg are apparently close friends and socialize together with their families.

Scarborough admits that he is courting a new constituency. Once we started Morning Joe, Phil Griffin said to me, You can cut out this regular-Joe crap. Our audience is from Boston to Washington, D.C. No wonder MSNBC is such an epic failure with that mentality. At least Scarborough has been outside of the I-95 corridor unlike his cohorts.

Maybe she’s the best candidate for the future of the GOP.

Funny how Joe turned left very quickly after the police found the dead staffer in his office.

Because it used to be declasse’ to talk politics w/ people. It used to be a very private thing.
Nowadays, libs tend to force it down your throat whether you want to or not.

Nowadays, libs tend to force it down your throat whether you want to or not. i suppose that may be true... but how did you become friends with people who were forcing it down your throat? i would stay away from people like that as much as i could... i wouldn't become friends with them, anyway...
To: latina4dubya
Because what I am trying to tell you is this came up after the friendship was established.

Not sure what Olberman has to do with it, but Scarborough also had a dead intern in his office to deal with. It was his Florida office.

Thanks for saying that. I agree. My best bud is a “D”, pretty left on some issues and Dixiecrat on others. We've been friends since meeting as freshman in the dorms at Texas and 16 years later are still best friends. He and his better-half live about 20 minutes away from us and we all get together probably 3-4 times a month for “nights-on-the-town.”
We give each other grief every once and a while, have tossed a few “FU’s” at each other at election time (a few beers are usually involved)....and then five minutes later one of us asks...”we still on for Friday?”....”you bet, you guys be careful gettin’ home”...
