Kurt Vonnegut Jr. famously said that if you think nature is your friend, you don’t need enemies.

The article doesn’t mention why she wasn’t wearing shoes.

Bush's fault: worst economy since the great depression.

If I was likely to meet nutria in the driveway, I’d wear my steel-toed work boots!

I found a turtle on a neighbor’s driveway a few weeks ago, and took it over to the creek to safety. It was probably looking for a warm place to sit and thought the cement was perfect!

Our cat was looking at the Nutria from a distance. She was probably trying to figure out what exactly it was.

I thought of the cartoon where Sylvester sees the kangaroo and thinks it's the world's largest mouse.

I remember that show. Tough situation for a cat!

I went barefoot outside yesterday and stepped on a bee.

Hope you’re not allergic!

Apparently I’m not!

I’m glad it wasn’t a caterpillar.

I stepped on it seconds after picking up my son and saying that he shouldn’t be walking around outside without shoes on.

I’m always telling my kids not to go out without shoes. My 2-year-old has huge swollen bites on his feet today. I gave him some Benadryl before he went to bed. We were out at a place with fire ants today, but he had socks and sneakers on. Either he’s been out in the yard without my knowing it, or moquitoes in the house got him.

Don’t worry, going shoeless doesn’t mean our kids will grow up to be hippies.
