Miley Cyrus wants to do a "younger, cleaner version of 'Sex and the City,'" the 15-year-old superstar told TV Guide.
Cyrus previously told Vanity Fair that the HBO series is her favorite show. She later issued a statement clarifying that she only watches the edited, TBS version.
But while she may like "Sex and the City," she won't be having sex anytime soon.

I’m sure he has no idea. A bit of good news is that neither Bill nor his wife drink at all. They converted the wine cellar into a place for his guitars.

Guess Billy forgot to put the parental bloc on HBO. Too late.
Someone should tell the little girl that there is no market for cleaned up versions of slutdom on TV.
That show to me represented everything that is wrong with women in this country. I wish Sarah Parker Broderick would blow away to an overcrowded Asian city and stay there.
Her and her ridiculous outfits that always looked retarded but you couldn’t escape because her PR people had them in the NY Post every damn week.

Not my kids. We do our best to keep them away from
bad television. that means Nick or Disney or anything PG-14 or worse is out. That’s most of what’s one (sigh).
The celebrity culture is something all good citizens should ... yawn and turn it off.
Don’t people realize its a tiresome self-feeding frenzy of navel-gazing junior-high level stupidity of no importance whatsoever?

Brett Ratner, the liberal democrat fundraising uber-friend of Bill & Hill, has come out saying that Miley is just like Madonna. He directed both at separate times for music videos, and
reports that Miley is such a pro, she can 'turn it on in an instant.'
Not exactly who I'd choose for my daughters to emulate, but you go Billy Ray.

I am ashamed to say, I watched a few episodes of S&TC while on a business trip where my hotel TV only got about a dozen channels ... it came on in between Raymond and Seinfeld, and I was too lazy to change the channel.
Nonetheless, I cannot imagine a redeeming quality of this show without nudity. The nudity was probably the only thing worth seeing ... and, even then, you were only about 50/50. There wasn’t one single likable character in the whole blasted show ... the redhead was obnoxious, the main character was annoying and whiny, the especially slutty one (as distinguished from the other three who were only mildly slutty by comparison) was irritating and looked like an old catcher’s mitt. I guess the brunette wasn’t altogether repulsive, so long as the mute button on your remote works.
I cannot figure why anyone would want to replicate that show.

Quite honestly, you don’t have to watch SATC to know what it’s about. I’ve never watched it, not so much as a partial episode and yet I know the character’s names, the nicknames for the different boyfriends, careers, clothes etc. That all came from reading.

I saw part of one show, when the characters were discussing the concept of a “f*ck buddy” - some friend of the opposite sex with whom you have sex between serious relationships. I was stunned. As one FReeper posts, “Damn - just damn”.

“Friends with benefits” is another term for it. I’ve had a couple of those. The friendship part doesn’t usually last very long after you’ve slept together and one of you starts dating somebody else.

I got $5 that says Miley ends up on the Jamie Lynn Spears circuit.

Supposedly the TBS version was cleaned up. I don’t know, never watched the show. But, as far as influencing young people, what exactly is anyone supposed to think about a show with the name “Sex and the City”. The title right there tells a story. There’s no way a show called “Sex and the City” would have been allowed 20 years ago.
To: WOSG
I’m pretty strict with my kids re the t.v., I find nothing wrong with some of the Disney and Nick Jr. Cartoons, although Spongebob is absolutely forbidden in our house.
