PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A Pittsburgh music legend had his swan song on local radio today.
The "Daddy-O of the Rad-i-o," Porky Chedwick, and his wife are moving to Florida next month. This morning, Chedwick did his last Pittsburgh-based radio broadcast.
He was a guest on "The Morning Memories Show" on WKFB.
The show was a three-hour tribute to Chedwick and his contributions to pop music over the years.
Needs a Burgh ping.
how is that done?
Wow, I grew up listening to him when I was living it the area. We listened to him through grade school and high school. I didn’t know he was still around. I left in 1960 and he was going strong.

Wow! I grew up in the burgh. He was the only one to listen to back in the day.
>>how is that done?
Martin Fierro is the keeper of the Burgh ping list. He’d have found it eventually and pinged his list. I just gave him a head start.
