No limit? I had always thought they had one. I’ll have to try it.

LMAO
It was the biggest pot I had at the moment...I didn’t use the pressure function for gumbo :-)

When I was a kid, we used the pressure cooker pot to pop corn. We never actually used the pressure cooker function. I spotted the little wings on the pot in your photo right way.

That sounds like fun! My parents and grandparents used to do pressure-cooking, but I’ve never done it myself....I have fond childhood memories of the whistling and hissing pressure cooker on the stove.

BTW, I'm jealous of the Steinway. After years of classical training I went for years without a piano because of my financial obligations as a father and husband. Just this year Mrs. Chandler insisted I buy myself a piano. I bought a Yamaha CP33,

which is awesome, but a Steinway? Cool!

Your keyboard is indeed cool, and you’re much further along with your musical skills than me I’m sure. The pictured piano is what Momma Stoat uses to teach her students on....I’m no musician but I do have a great respect for people (such as yourself) who are willing to spend the time to develop that wonderful skill. The world would be an uttely dismal place without great music....it would be like a world full of Code Pinko’s!

“Blech!”

Speaking of pressure cookers, my late mother-in-law, God rest her soul, used to pressure cook chuck steak in anticipation of our visits when they lived in Carlsbad, CA. Man, that was some good eats!

I can imagine...I remember the great food that used to come from the pressure cooker in my youth. Sadly, I'm just a single stoat and so without a family to cook for I haven't felt motivated to learn how to do a lot of elaborate cooking. I wouldn't know where to begin as far as pressure cooking is concerned.

I apologize, the alarm always rings far too early in the morning and so I really must log off. It was a pleasure chatting with you and I hope that you will have a good evening and a great week beginning tomorrow.

Best wishes to you and yours :-)

ROTFLOL Believe me, there WAS a cute furry creature when I first opened the thread - then it disappeared! Not to worry yourself, dear Stoat, nor eat more spicey delicacies to throw yourself into a food coma. Music is a good impulse, but something bouncy and upbeat! I was pinging you in a good way!

Perhaps I need to check my marble bag...and make certain they are all there..I thought they were there...All I did was open the thread and ping my friend...there seemed to be no problem...good grief...

  • I was pinging you in a good way!

And my response was intended to be in a good way as well....I had hoped that my (((((snicker))))) might have underlined that   :-)

Perhaps I need to check my marble bag...and make certain they are all there..I thought they were there...All I did was open the thread and ping my friend.

I am tremendously honored to be referred to as your friend....even if it's in small type   :-)

..there seemed to be no problem...good grief...

And there is no problem that I can see other than the use of the very small type, which a stoat who is getting long in the tooth has to stare at a bit longer than most. :-)

No grief is necessary, good or otherwise....no worries, only smiles  :-)  Here's a nice piece of cheesecake for you

That looks goooood!

I just ate the last piece of a new fridge pie I came up with. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, try this one ... and share it with friends and/or family so you don't eat it all!...

One tub of cool-whip, five tablespoons of smooth peanut butter, two cups of Vanilla flavored yogurt, one package of devil's food chocolate instant pudding, one graham cracker pie shell
Place the pie shell in the freezer
Mix two cups of vanilla yogurt with the pudding powder (no milk, use yogurt instead)
plop the stiff pudding into the frozen pie shell and return it to the fridge
mix the five tablespoons of peanut butter with the tub of cool-whip by folding together until thoroughly mixed, and top the chilled pudding pie, then return to the fridge for one day.

You will not believe how good that simple pie is! Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top as desired.

The next one I make, I'm going to melt and pour a dozen caramels into the pie shell and smooth them out and place int he fridge to chill while I mix the yogurt and instant pudding mix. That layer of caramel should make it sufficiently decadent.

You’re quite welcome, and thanks for posting a pic of what is undoubtedly a furry relative of mine :-)

I see now how the mixup happened... the pics from the FReepathon ‘rotate’ when the page is refreshed, so that’s how he disappeared.
