OK. I had a bit of a water leak (after my hot water tank), so my power bill went up a bit... blah blah.
Leak is fixed and everything is back to normal. But just as a side thought, I dug out all the old power bills I could find. The local utility breaks it down by amount used, amount used last year at this time, and avg daily temps.
Gettin hot here in Seattle. NOT!!!!
First figure is date, second is avg daily temp, third is avg daily temp for the previous year, and last is change.

The net avg for the above figures is down 3.6 degrees F for the 9 months included.
The good news is that I just yesterday picked my first ripe tomato, an event that usually happens in late June.
Better format...

Correct. I was shuffling papers and trying to type at the same time.
Here in the Interior of Alaska we are suffering temps 10 to 15 degrees below normal. Where’s my gorebull warming!!
Supposedly, when the sunspots slow down/go away, that leads to much cooler temps.
But at least it’s nice enough here today for me to be out in my garden - and spy two bald eagles hovering about 400 feet up!
Came in to get my camera and when I got back out, they were gone.
Not all that unusual to see an eagle here at all, but when you see two flying the way they were, it’s usually Mr. and Mrs.
Saw a mating pair on the Olympic peninsula a few years back. Spectacular!
Pretty cool. My son and I saw 1 the other day at about the same height, but they don’t come around the interior much. It’s been so rainy and cool here I don’t know if I’m going to have much of a garden this year.
