He’d want to lock up Batman.

These two aren’t prequels, they’re a reboot. Forget the other Batman movies, different universe, never happened. And frankly given how bad most of them were there’s probably quite a few resumes pretending those movies never happened too.

Have you seen this part of the Bourne saga?

"How many times can people go to see the same story over and over again?"

Just wait 'til they reveal Bruce Wayne's father was not in fact, killed by criminals, but instead was cut down by Obi Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, the lava planet, and rescued by Emperor Palpatine.

I concur that there is no such thing as too long. I always wonder if people nowadays would welcome some of the great movies from the 1930s to 60s, many of whom were over three hours long.

Hey, did Commissioner Gordon have a daughter in the movie? I didn't notice. If not, who's going to play this role in a few years?

My grown son agrees...

..he said the movie was very very dark.....how did it get a PG-13?... and the violence was stark even when certain scenes were left to the imagination.

Yeah we’ve got a generation now that would look at the epics like Ten Commandments or Ben Hur or Das Boot or Lawrence of Arabia and whine they’re too long. The funny part is sports ratings are doing fine, maybe because sports have TV time outs so they can go get beer.

So you would watch grass grow for four hours? For those complaining about the length (me included), it has to do with how the time moves. When I watch Dancing with Wolves, I’m there for all 3 hours. For Batman, I was ready to go after 2 hours. It’s about quality, not quanity. Batman had a quality storing for 2 hours. After that, it was just grass growing.

I watch good movies. Sorry that your attention span wasn’t up to the merer 2 1/2 hours of Dark Knight (less really given how long credits run these days) but that’s YOUR problem. The movie isn’t too long, there’s plenty of action and tons of character development. The lack of quality here is the audience member that couldn’t handle it, the growing grass is between your ears.

Then go dance with Kevin Costner for 3 hours. Dancing with Wolves was a mediocre movie from a very bad actor.

You know what had underserved hype? The Phantom Menace. It turned out to be the WORST Star Wars movie.

This movie lives up to the hype. It is a great movie. JMO.

I thought the movie flew by - I didn’t think about time at all while I was watching. This was the best superhero/comic film ever. Nothing else comes close.

Something tells me that I've offended you and your Batman world. Change out of your Batman PJs and and learn to accept criticism like a man (or a big Boy Wonder).

No you’re just rude and insulting. You’re way to dependent on bully tactics to offend me at all, the best you can hope for is to be an annoying little rock in the shoe of FR.

"No you’re just rude and insulting."

Dude, go back and look at the posts. How was questioning the length and quality of the movie rude and insulting to you? Did I upset some Batman god?
