I just saw an ad on AMC for a sex toy made by Trojan. The ad showed two women getting all excited talking about the product, then showed an old lady chiming in, saying she has one of her own. I already emailed AMC about this, and would like others to do so as well.
Men are being replaced by vibrators, dontcha know.
That was also the jist of the commercial. I guess by calling it a massager you can bypass the censors.

Fair is fair. Men have their Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition commercials, and Girls Gone Wild infomercials.
It's a full time job changing the channels when this kind of filth hits the screen.
Those of us with Children, Grandchildren, and others that might be exposed to this crap are getting beyond mad about it. Problem is, the FCC, or our Representatives are not willing to step up and DO something about it, even with all the heck we raise expressing our concerns! They refuse to listen to us...
One cannot avoid it, it's everywhere! The only solution is to turn the damned TV and Radio OFF!
Or DVR and skillful handling of the fast forward button.
I’m so addicted to DVR it is almost to the point where I can be sitting on the couch and won’t watch a show at its regularly scheduled time just so I can watch it later with no commercials.
Hope that little thing can buy them flowers, do their lawns, fix their houses, and cuddle them when they are sad!

When my son was small, no matter what show he watched (and we were pretty picky about what he watched) the one house rule was he had to “mute” every commercial. Of course, he still saw the toys, etc. being advertised, but he didn’t hear the hype. When he got older, we’d sit with him and explain the advertiser’s techniques at trying to influence the public through the ads. He’s a grown man now, and watching TV with him is maddening...he’s always watching 2 shows at once, the minute a commercial comes on, he switches to the other channel. We created the behavior, LOL, so I just have to sit there and deal with it.

Have you seen the Trojan commercial where it depicts men as pigs if they don’t have a condom? Typical male bashing. I wonder why they depict women as dogs in heat?

Ha! I do the same thing. I would watch two or three shows at a time. It drove my Mother nuts when I still lived with her. I just cannot stand commercials and I didn’t need the behavior modifications that your son got. LOL! Of course I don’t have a TV anymore. Just a PC to watch DVDs and stream movies from Netflix.

I don’t believe communism and obscenity are linked. Initially to establish communism maybe. Communism always moves toward control of people and information so a strong communist government would try to eliminate obscenity.
As far as I can remember, there was less obscenity in the USSR than we have now. You would never see even close to what we have on movies and TV. The people and attitudes were very socially conservative despite being communist.
I am sick of commercials. I just about quit watching AMC when they started cutting up the movies with commercials. It’s like watching a movie on TNT or TBS or broadcast TV now. And the movies that AMC shows are the “new” classics. It’s hard to find an old movie there anymore.
TCM has become my movie channel of choice.
