Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro police arrested Leanne Elizabeth Macklin Wednesday. She was a drama teacher at the Weaver Academy.
Investigators recieved a complaint on July 1 alleging Macklin had a sexual relationship with a student. On Monday July 21, five warrants were issused for her arrest. She was charged with sexual activity between school personnel and a student. Officers believe Macklin engaged in sexual activity with one student. Macklin turned herself into police. She was out on bond Wednesday evening.
This case is still under investigation. Police want anyone information about the case to contact the Greensboro Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 336-373-2255 or Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.

It is alleged that Macklin engaged in oral sex with the student several times at her apartment.
Macklin is charged with five counts alleging sexual activity between school personnel and a student.
Reportedly the student’s parents had letters from Macklin to their son containing statements such as “You made me feel needed and trusted and loved.”
In June Macklin resigned from the school where she has worked since 2005.

We have established precedent that oral sex is not real sex. Not guilty. Perhaps the slickmeister should personally evaluate her. He could probably provide counseling to remedy her problem.

I have to disagree with you. Pan down.
And in fact, it looks like he was so distraught over the incident that he went back....several times.
I know what the law says, but.... This teacher needs to be out of a job (very poor ethics!), however IMHO this should be treated as a civil matter, not a criminal one. Hopefully we'll see a little prosecutorial discretion.
