Every once in a while, a book not so much lands on your desk as lobs itself like a hand grenade, exploding preconceived wisdoms and shattering the bones of the status quo. Save The Males is such a book.
It is the fiercest and most fearless defence of men, fatherhood and ultimately the family I have read in many years.
American author Kathleen Parker's courageous thesis is that initially, through extreme feminism, then via its craven implementation into society, women have demonised men and trivialised their contribution, especially to family life.

Nothing I haven’t heard or said before. We live in a time when real men and masculinity are looked down upon and instead our society lionizes the limp-wristed milquetoasts who think that the highest accomplishments of civilization are universal healthcare and multiculturalism.
These sad excuses for ‘men’ make me sick.
Kathleen Parker says in her book Save the Males:
In the coming years, we will need men who are not confused about their responsibilities to family and country. We need boys who have acquired the virtues of honour, courage, valour and loyalty. We need women willing to let men be men - and boys be boys.'
Will this form of sickness be covered by universal health care?
True, but you probably hear it from men. We need to hear it from women. As a woman, I say hear, hear!
The Near Orient represent an extreme male chauvinism unbending to feministic ideas and embracing all natural laws to the point of pathology....
But, the Near Orient position is stiff, inflexible... and therefore brittle; except for the fact that it is based on faith to the core of the followers of the Islamic faith.... it is the base of their reality.
We in the west are flexible, able to bend to any confrontation... but 1/2 of the west has no faith and no core values.
I’m sure that for many of us here this is not some abstract issue, or something that only happens to other people.
Today they broke a story which declared the 'myth' about men being superior at math than women is totally untrue; women do JUST as well and, in fact (tossing head), women make BETTER students, besides.
The hairy-chested feminists in the media are a parody of themselves.
Well, it's time to fight back. The women and the metrosexual girly-boys have had their chance and they blew it (pardon the pun). Let's put the adults back in charge and send the children out to play. We've got serious business to transact.
'As long as men feel marginalised by the women whose favour and approval they seek, as long as they are alienated from their children and treated as criminals by family courts, as long as they are disrespected by a culture that no longer values masculinity tied to honour, as long as boys are bereft of strong fathers and our young men and women wage sexual war, then we risk cultural suicide.'
Wow. That quote is so right on, I'm gonna post it again:
'As long as men feel marginalised by the women whose favour and approval they seek, as long as they are alienated from their children and treated as criminals by family courts, as long as they are disrespected by a culture that no longer values masculinity tied to honour, as long as boys are bereft of strong fathers and our young men and women wage sexual war, then we risk cultural suicide.'
I guess I shouldn't tell them that I'm lousy at math, but my two older boys are majoring in engineering and just looking at what they're doing (statics, flow dynamics, vector calculus and other foreign language titles) boggles my mind.
I agree with that.
But I'm always amused by the way the MSM goes so far out of its way to explode commonly accepted male-centric thinking and rushes to replace it with female-centric thinking. Today's little gem was a particularly crude attempt.
Agreed, but the key to changing minds is to mark the tendency when it is encountered so its easily identified and, eventually, marginalized.
Of course those who don't want that to happen will be quick with accusations of 'playing the victim', a charge most men would like to avoid.
So what can you do?
Ummm...... Could you read this to me? I can't focus me eyes right now...I lost my bifocals...yeah, that's it...that's the excuse problem.

The last one I can think of was
Just so. If you want to defeat a culture, render its warriors unable to fight. It makes perfect sense that the leftwing crackpots among the feminazi fringe would attack maleness as a disease rather than celebrate it as a saving virtue. Already whole academic disciplines such as anthropology and much of psychology have been Lysenko-ized to discredit the humanity of the man. Social Work, which never was a discipline to begin with so much as a tool of social engineering hi-jacked by crank identity politics, virtually outlaws manhood.

I hate all the man bashing that goes on. Lord, please help this situation. They don’t deserve it.
Speak up. Don't passively give the field to the enemy. Turn off the TV shows that glorify pantywaist poof-men and snicker at men who don't sashay when they walk. Refuse to buy magazines that feature advice on how "men" can exfoliate or rid themselves of embarrassing stubble or apply a dab of concealer to cover a zit. We're men, for cripes' sake! We don't need to cover up our zits or put perfume in our hair or depilitate ourselves as though we're ashamed of what nature gave us. If we start buying into that mentality, we'll be as vain as women.
Eat real food -- nothing made from vegetables or soybeans of any kind. Conquer the earth, don't mind-meld with it. Take command. Take charge. Assert your rightful place in this universe instead of letting some post-menopausal witch shame you into the back of the bus.
Do men things. Change your own oil. Barbeque steaks. Shoot things. Blow things up. Build things. Get a garage full of dusty, rusty old woodworking equipment that you never use but that you stare at lovingly every time you pass it. Drive a shelled-out pickup with a V-8. Smoke. Spit. Fart. Do all the things men have done for a few thousand years, before we found out how much more civilized butt pirates and women were.
Of course, they had the time to get all civilized on us. We were out building a world.
She wants me to take her to see "Sex and the City". I absolutely refused. I take her to movies like "Live Free or Die Hard", etc.
I wouldn’t take her to those kinds of movies. I’d go with my buddies. Let her go to that kind of crap with her girlfriends. It doesn’t mean you care for her any less, just that your tastes are different. And, regardless of what the emasculators say, mens’ tastes are every bit as valid as womens’.
I agree with your points above, IronJack. Articles like this turn up with some regularity: “Men are big, men are brave, men are strong, men are smart! And we’re so put-upon by pushy women that we have to go hide in the basement and watch internet porn!” If education and the media are full of anti-male messages - and I agree they are - then it’s up to men to turn it off, for themselves and their sons.
I will add that I wouldn’t consider seeing “Sex and the City”; what possible benefit for my family is there in my watching a movie about women acting like gay men? I respect myself and my husband more than that. Just being Frank Sheed’s FRiend requires a higher standard.
And now back to my Clive Cussler novel - now that’s manly fiction!
Thanks, but my question has more to do with the politics of the situation than personal conduct.
Above post is for you.
I'm not sure the answer is political. Certainly not exclusively. But I guess I'd recommend voting against candidates (for whatever office) who demonstrate a marked disdain for masculine culture. That includes anyone who creates, fosters, or otherwise promotes an adversarial relationship between the sexes. Anyone who supports "women-only" programs such as women's athletics, health programs, public assistance, "affirmative action," etc.. I would also watch your local newspaper or legislative review and see if bills come up that discriminate against men. Write your reps and voice your opposition. If the bill passes, look at the vote tally and note the supporters. Let it be known that these are people biased against men.
Find out what your schools are teaching in the guise of gender equality. I'm amazed when my kids come home with talk about how a famous man couldn't have done what he did without some obscure woman behind him. Or about how their class spent days studying some unknown female "historical" figure, while the men who made this world get short shrift.
But I still think that these kinds of social changes start with individual behavior. If enough men individually reject this feminization, they will come to speak with one voice in the aggregate. And then, the politicians who kowtow to the feminazis will be out of a job.
Post of the month nominee.
HOLY SHIITE BARRACK GUANO!
