Amy Winehouse's lungs are reportedly so damaged from her incessant smoking that the singer may die if she doesn't quit. But she still can't seem to stop. 'Wino' was recently seen smoking something hand-rolled – exactly what is impossible to tell from the photos.

We're (supposed to be) free to live our life any way we see fit.

So if she quits smoking she'll live forever?
Unfortunately, she does have one foot in the grave. Once you get emphysema, which she has, it's pretty much over. Your lung capacity diminishes gradually to the point where even an oxygen mask only provides marginal results. And she's not just an average cigarette smoker, she literally lights one up soon after finishing one.
Oh well, it's her life as several FReepers have pointed out above.
She isn’t a citizen of the United States.
She puts herself forward as an entertainer. People go into that business for the celebrity and publicity, for better or worse, and it follows them. Her career decision puts her life in the limelight, and it’s something she accepted in joining the industry. I think it’s tacky to follow her around as they do, but it’s just part of the industry. *shrugs shoulders* Other artiists like it.
That said, she’s got emphysema at the age of 24. Her career is going to tank, her health is going to deteriorate, and that’s going to be that.
Hurrah for smoking!
I will take a wild stab at the fact Ms. Winehouse is committing suicide on her own terms.
It is her life, her lungs and her wish.
The press love tragedy. They have no empathy only a desire to make news.
