If you are looking for light, no brainer, LOL read check out the Stephanie Plumb series by Janet Evanovich... Start with One For the Money....

I just bought the paperback of 'Lean Mean Thirteen' by Janet Evanovich, and I'm saving it for vacation...Those books are LOL funny...

Since you like historical novels have you tried “The Autobiography of Henry VIII w/Notes by His Fool, Will Somers” by Margaret George? It’s a big, fat easy and informative read. George also wrote “The Memoirs of Cleopatra”. Her books are well researched.

That’s a really broad range of topics, thank you, I think I have read something by Shirley Jackson but can’t remember the title, I can see that I’ll be having a lot to read here. :-)

Thanks for reminding me about Mary Stewart. I used to love reading her books many, many years ago. She must be a lovely person. Maybe I'll re-read them...

You’re right, I should have specified my tastes but I really do like reading most genres. And it does depend on what I’m feeling like at the time.
You’re right about the lack of time!
I love romance, mysteries, politics, medical, classics and actually there is no type of book on that list that I would not consider reading. Thank you !

The Doorbell Rang or Some Buried Caesar-- Rex Stout

One summer I read every single Nero Wolfe book that Rex Stout wrote. In addition to great mystery stories, you get a vocabulary lesson.

Actually I took a test not too long ago and wrote that if I could go back to one era it would be the civil war time so that would be very interesting for me. Thank you.

Any of the Nero Wolfe books by Rex Stout. They are older but very entertaining. I have read them all about five times. Never get boring.

I had a mental image of Nero Wolfe's house, room by room, when I read those great books.

Wow, I could be reading forever with that great list. I don’t think I’ve read any of those. That’s really interesting that you got your username from that book. It must be a great one. Thank you !
