White Stripes frontman Jack White and soul singer Alicia Keys have recorded the next Bond theme tune - Another Way To Die.
Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Grace Jones and Leona Lewis had all been tipped as frontrunners to perform the track in Quantum Of Solace.
Another Way To Die has been written by US star White, 33, who also plays drums on the track, and will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history.
Daniel Craig reprises his role as 007 in Quantum Of Solace, the 22nd adventure in Bond history, when the film opens later this year.
Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia, who were inspired by our film to join together their extraordinary talents in creating a unique sound for Quantum Of Solace."

the fact that she's a messed up crackhead has little to do with the fact that she possesses immense talent and is a fantastic performer when she isn't falling over herself.
on another note, i cannot wait to see this film. i like this gritty, tougher bond. connery was the best, imho, but this guy is pretty sick.

I thought this new Bond was gay?

just heard my first winehouse song a few days ago and she is incredible. her personal life may be a mess, but she has tremendous talent.
she would be an awesome fit for a 007 song

yeah, you try getting her into the studio to record a song that she didn't write and probably won't get much money on.
good luck. you'd need a crack rock on a string to entice her. and now that her boyfriend is in jail, she's probably more of a mess. man she can sing though...

She’s still one hell of a singer, despite the slow-mo trainwreck that she calls a life.

I'm a leading edge Baby Boomer so today's pop music isn't my cup of tea. Nevertheless, I have seen her concerts on cable and she is extraordinary.
On the other hand, too many of her songs sound the same (to me anyway).

Craig is an excellent Bond. Indeed. I had given up on the flicks after the first Brosnan snoozer. Finally watched Casino on cable - wow! I was quite impressed.
And this thread is useless without pictures...

Because he is more metrosexual than masculine- the latter being the defining characteristic of the original Bond or two.
Because Craig himself has stated it is time for Bond to have a homosexual relationship on screen.
How's that?

Well, I was unaware of that. Sad.
I know he is playing a bi-sexual Roman Emperor, and I’m not happy with that, but if he shows up as a Bi Bond...it will be bye-bye Bond for me.
I think that would kill off the Bond series, or at least, it will become a run of the mill PC thriller.

Casino Royale was superb, it may have made Bond movies must see’s again.
This latest is supposed to pick up where Royale left off - can’t wait to see it.
The Bond songs are fantastic, what a legacy - mostly they are all excellent.

1. Urban legend! Craig never said that!
2. Daniel Craig is considerably more macho than any other Bond, including Connery.

I never thought I'd say that anyone was better than Sean Connery, but Craig is. He is the best Bond yet. I think he will be hard to ever top. He gets the character. He was better in Casino Royale than I imagined would be possible. He blew me away with his performance. Awesome ending, too.

McCartney’s Live & Let Die is still the best Bond Movie song!!
To: Vision
Whether he said it outright or it was dry English humor or an actor wanting to play a role...it aint masculine and you dont find Sean Connery suffering from this type of misunderstanding. It's not true. The link you provided has a link to an old news story that has been pulled. Because it WASN'T TRUE. It's even debunked later on the very thread you posted.

I recently bought the latest Raconteurs CD, Consolers of the Lonely and it blew me away great CD. All the songs on the album were very good but what impressed me the most was that no two sounded at all alike and they covered so many moods and genres and styles. Best CD Ive bought so far this year if not in several years.
I especially liked The Switch and the Spur sounded like it was from a sound track of a 1960s spaghetti western with a modern twist.
The Switch and the Spur - The Raconteurs
Although I wasnt a big fan at first of the White Stripes, Ive grown to really appreciate Jack Whites immense talent and musical versatility as a musician, a song writer and producer. Im guessing he would have done job on the theme song no matter who he was paired with.
Alicia Keys is also very talented and has a great voice although shes a wack head politically.
Amy Winehouse is a wack head and a crack head but shes also very talented musically.
Either would be interesting choices.
