Thanks. We rescued Robbie from a local animal shelter, and he was such a great dog my wife decided to find out more about Goldens online, found a local Golden Retriever Rescue organization and started volunteering with them. We started fostering goldens for the rescue, and when we picked up Lilah for the rescue it took us about 5 seconds to decide that not only would we foster her but adopt her as well.

Both of our dogs were strays - one wandered into our backyard and we tried to find the owner and when we did, he didn't really want the dog. And the other we found in an intersection in town - she has an RFID chip in her ear and our vet couldn't contact the people on the chip so we kept her, too. We're just suckers for strays, I guess! :^)
