Want a yard sign expressing your support for Barack Obama or John McCain? Be prepared to pay for it.
Campaign yard signs have traditionally been free, but when Lake Highlands resident Mike Norris contacted the local Obama headquarters about picking one up, they told him to bring cash.

Mike Norris = a typical bleeding heart liberal looking for something for nothing.
Norris should wake up and smell the coffee... realizing that should the chosen one (aka B.H. Obama) attain higher office... Norris and all other bleeding heart liberal zombies that vote for B.H.O. will have their wallets/purses picked in order to take care of the have-nots (Robin Hood style).
It is not too late for these voting clones to open their eyes and realize Obama was/is/always will be a Marxist/Socialist thug in a $3,000 suit.
Would you pay $5.00 for a John McCain sign? It appears he’s not giving them away either. One year I had 5 republican candidate signs stolen out of my yard. People aren’t going to pay it or go to the bother. Next thing you know some creative criminal enterprise will be stealing them to sell to people for $3.50.
Can anyone honestly say that they have ever been influenced to vote for someone based upon their ugly mug on a yard sign?
Can anyone honestly say that they have ever been influenced to buy real estate from an agent based upon their ugly mug on their business card?
Why would anybody a) provide free real estate for a presidential candidate to advertize his candidacy on and b) by so doing deface their own home and c) then PAY for the jolly jumping privilege to make an already wealthy and influential person the most powerful person on earth?
That’s just LOCO!
Every one of the presidential candidates so far have the same appeal and credibility as REAL ESTATE AGENTS. They are all hucksters and frauds and cheats.
Vote for one of them, you must. But there’s no point paying for the privilege to do so. Nor is there any point volunteering to help one or the other one win: they won’t say “thankyou” and they will never even remember the favor.
I would never, ever pay to put a sign in my yard.
Politics are sooo screwed up.
Guess the canidates do not realize that they need, “WE The People”
Jerks.
Hold your nose and vote time. Sad.
I tried for months to get Bush signs from r. party to no avail. Finally went on line and ordered my own.
Get used to it Mike! If your boy gets elected you’re going to be needing to “bring money” for a lot of things.
No problem getting those.
Of course, this coming election is not the same.
The GOP offices in my city are not even there at present.
Not sure what to think.
By the way, I will say that there are too many R.E. agents who are frauds, hucksters and cheats, just not all of us.

Fair enough — I’ve used a sweeping generalization and for that I apologize.
I didn’t pay for any of my McCain signs.
It’s no problem getting a free John McCain yard sign in my hometown.
I wouldn’t have one if he paid me $5.00, but then that’s just me. LOL
You had to set that one up on a tee for me didn’t you.
The end of the world as we know it.
Good Morning, Mate! Weather here has been perfect... 70's during the day and into the 50's at night.
Heh! You’ll get yours in January, unless the Global Warming really kicks in!
This thread reminds me that I need to call my State Representative’s campaign (i.e., his wife :-) to see if I can get a sticker, sign, or campaign wind-sock. He’s got an opponent with a pulse (although not with a clue) for once. “Don’t call it ‘involuntary annexation’; that’s a biased phrase coined by anti-progress forces! It’s ‘annexation by statutory process’!”
