I don't want to say anything too inflammatory here, but people who put mustard on hamburgers ought to be rounded up and exterminated.

Hamburgers get ketchup and mayo.
Hot dogs, you can put whatever you want on them - SO LONG AS IT'S IN THE RIGHT COMBINATION:
ketchup and relish together, mustard and onions together, sauerkraut only with mustard.

I can hardly believe I need to point this out to people.

Owl_Eagle

There are people who are surrounded by bigots
and know it is wrong, but are afraid to be vocal against it.
These people are going to pull the lever for Obama
and they are not being polled.

I think you lost the argument already to your wife.. Remember the wife is already right... mustard, ketchup, onions on the dog... no mayo.

May on ALL meats. That’s a basic.

From there, either catsup or mustard is good on either, WITH the mayo, of course.

Mayo is good on lottsa’ stuff. Nothing better than mayo on saltines along with a bowl of good soup, for instance.

Thank God for mayonnaise!

Mustard on the hot dog, along with some sauerkraut if I have it. Mustard on the burger, and maybe some mayo if it is drier than I like.

Ketchup is for children and communists. Monday night when I was cleaning out my refrigerator after a power outage I kept my ketchup because it was still factory sealed like I bought it.

"When she makes me a hamburger she insists on putting mayo on it."
Have you told her NOT to put mayo on your burger and she does it anyway? If so, you should immediately file for divorce.

Let her do what she wants with her own food (and don't say anything) but she should leave yours alone.

Vadalia Onions and mustard-any kind of mustard-with a few dabs of Tabasco sauce (and maybe a little horseradish)

She insists on ketchup on her hotdogs.

Barbarian. A properly dressed hot dog will have mustard, relish, chopped onion, sliced tomato, kosher pickle spear, optional peppers, and celery salt.

Venezuelans put Mayo on everything also!

As for me:

Mustard on hotdogs

Ketchup and Mayo on burgers and just ketchup for the fries

And nothing but salt and pepper on my steak! That is the LAW!

I prefer mustard on a hot dog, but people who make fun of those who use ketchup are just a bunch of damned elitist snobs. Why don’t you lecture your wife about the proper way to prepare arugula while you’re at it? It’s her food and she can eat it any damn way she wants, as far as I’m concerned.

I am unashamedly white-trash. I loves me some Miracle Whip on my burger. Mustard and ketchup on the hot dog.

Cheeseburger is paradise medium rare with mustard'd be nice
Not too particular, not too precise
I'm just a cheeseburger in paradise.

I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draught beer
Well, good God Almighty which way do I steer

Sorry, May and Mustard on burgers, maybe ketchup. No ketchup of any kind near any type of dog. Salsa, well, it goes on both. Same with green chile.

Hot dogs — Really only great when grilled, with mustard only. If sauerkraut is available, then both, and they’re acceptable boiled or steamed.

Hamburgers — so many good ways to fix a burger. I really love some pepper rub mixed into the meat, grilled to perfection, on a soft roll with mayo and Hannah’s (brand) bruschetta. Oh... that’s heaven...

Absolutely NEVER mayo on burgers,

NEVER on hotdogs [I like the Mexican style hotdogs with a piece of bacon wrapped around, and always get ALL the condiments EXCEPT the mayo].

As for ketchup on hot dogs, I’ve done it, but I’m not proud of it.

No mayo on roast beef.

And Woody Allen had it right when he said “nobody outside Nebraska ever puts mustard and mayo on the same sandwich”.
