60,000? WOW! I doubt Biden could draw 600, and Obama maybe 6000. I don't think they will need to be counting chads in FL this year.

By the way where are the Villages? I was stationed in FL up until 1981, I don't remember hearing of anyplace referred to as that.

I am still thinking about that 60,000 number. I can remember pre-Palin, Ed Schultz on AirAmerica saying right after Obamas speech at the DNC that the Republicans could never draw a crowd larger than 8000. Guess this showed him.

Now that was one adorable and funny post. Thanks for being so boldly pro-Californian on a website that doesn't much appreciate the state!

I'm an ex-Californian, and even though I've bashed California many times here on the FR, my heart skipped a beat with each California town that you mentioned. I have good memories about most of them.

And yes, I agree with you that many in California would love to see Sarah and vice versa. However, Sarah is a true warrior, and she is needed badly in the Battleground states. We can win without California's electoral votes. She is more valuable to all of us when she applies her firepower where it will do the most good.

Heck, I'd love to see her here in Dallas, which is a possibility on Oct 3, but then again I tell myself, "What good would it be for her to be in Texas when Team McCain is a sure thing here?" So, I'm resigned to the potential disappointment that she won't be here as planned on 10/3.

For our own good, we would be better off if she spent all her time in the Battlegrounds. You and I are just going to have to take one for the team. We'll have to do without seeing her in our respective states during the next six weeks.

Somewhere on FR I read there were more GOP Californians than a whole bunch of states combined. Just wish our National Ticket votes counted...

I actually think it would be daring and great if she made a sweep in California. It would really be a pr sweep. Libs would weep...

Why’d you move? Dems or taxes get you?

She was supposed to be at a private fundraiser in Seattle this week; however, it was cancelled so she could be at the UN - McCain wanted to introduce her to some world leaders.

I suspect that she and/or John will be in WA at some point. I agree, I think this is the first time since Regan that WA state has a chance of going Red (albeit, it may be a slim one). I suspect a lot more conservative voters will go out this year to vote for Rossi, especially given w what happened w the selection of Gov Fraudoire 4 years ago.

The Villages is a HUGE mega retirement community. It’s near Ocala

Just based on its gargantuan size alone, it’s no surprise that CA has more Republicans than any other state. But on the other hand, CA also has more Democrats than any other state, too! :-)

Yes, a Palin tour through CA would be a pure act of Republican radicalism. It would fire up an already electrified GOP base, and it would fire off epileptic seizures throughout the vast, leftwing complacency in CA.

I moved to TX mainly because of the following unbeatable combo: a low cost of living and a high standard of living. Also, I hope to start my own business someday. TX is the only place where starting a business makes any sense at all.

You’re a great writer! Are you a screenwriter in Hollywood?
