Scott is starting to be a joke

says people are now supporting the bailout

He has lost mind and creditability

Even liberals I know are against it.

"says people are now supporting the bailout"

He's right. The Democrats are being brainwashed that this hurts Republicans. They're starting to get on board the bailout. ALL liberal media wants the bailout and has been preaching it for a week. Weak minds are being swayed.

The comment about the poll finding “stability” is something I find unsettling, because now it appears attitudes and opinions are starting to solidify. We need another positive game-changer. The high amount of pressure on Sarah to win big tomorrow night is unfortunate, but that’s reality. This economic story will need to recede from the front pages if we’re to have a hope here.

Im willing to concede that McCain is down in the likely voter electorate...its been an awful 2 week news cycle.

but

Obama at 51%? Nope....even with Ras 6% weight towards Dems, this poll doesnt fly...

Obama is leaning by 9 among independents?
The US independents are socialist, not centrist.

Anecdotal, I know, but I live in NY and yesterday morning there was a car on the Thruway that had ‘NO BAILOUT’ written on it’s back window.

I find it VERY hard to believe that people’s minds are being changed on this.

True or not, the media and most pollsters are working hard to crown King Barack Hussein Obama the First.

Unless McCain destroys him in the next two debates and unless his campaign gets a ground game going to get the vote out, we are screwed.

What worries me most is the combination of King Barack Hussein Obama and his jesters Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi having the ability (i.e., majority in congress) to push forth their socialist agenda and destroy America. No matter future Republican presidents and congresses, the damage will be irreversable.

Given the past week, we are damned lucky that McCain is still this close

one more piece of anecdotal evidence:

Deep in the heart of Blue Jersey, I have yet to see an Obama yard sign.

Gotta hope too that the Senate GOP seats stay above 40. If the Rats have a filibuster-proof majority, we ARE screwed.

Did I not read the ABC poll still shows McCain ahead by 3 among independents? So that goes against Rasmussen. Seems like few polls agree.

If 0bama does get 51% of more in the election he will have done what no non southern Dem has done since 1944. Pretty bad for our nation.

Yeah, and ABC also shows McCain ahead among White women and Catholics. It’s not in the poll but we know McCain has a larger share of Democrats than Obama has of Republicans. So how is McCain behind? I don’t think it’s statistically possible unless they’re polling a huge excess of Democrats. They admitted that in their fake poll last week that had Obama up 9 points, but I don’t think party affiliation is listed in this new poll.

I ALWAYS see here that the dems are always up by 10-15 points this far out. Kerry was up, Gore was up, Carter was up, all by 10 points or so in SEP-OCT. Is this really true? Any links? Verification? Thanks.

says people are now supporting the bailout

i think this is true... our side played this badly... people didn't want a bailout, but they want a solution... most people are not informed the way we FReepers are... they don't get that not passing the bailout was exactly what they wanted... and the Republicans suck at communicating...

No. Not at this point in the game, not by 10-15 points. The link below is to Rasmussen archives. This time in 2004 Bush was ahead.
