A couple of years ago, there was a Freeper named A. Pole who posted a number of insightful articles on FR. He was willing to challenge the Republican establishmenet's betrayal of conservative principles by their support of open borders and free trade. I didn't always agree with him, but I enjoyed his threads. He got banned for posting an article from a controversial publication, even though the article itself had nothing exceptional to say.
