He doesnt charge for lectures, although some churches provide a stipend and he sells his DVDs and books after the program.
You start to get the idea theres only one person in history whose image is imprinted on a centuriesold cloth, he told a crowd of more than 100 gathered at St. Peter Parish in DeLand Sept. 23 to hear his presentation, The Mystery of the Holy Shroud: A Case for Authenticity.

I happen to believe in the shroud’s authenticity, and I’m neither Catholic nor Protestant. Every single arguement against it is childish in it’s “proof”. Especially the carbon-dating, bio-plastic contamination alone rules that one out.
You mean the "experiment" by Garza-Valdes that was repudiated by the Vatican & STURP, the major authenticity proponents? When your friends think you're wrong, your critics need not speak.
When it comes to things regarding faith and religion, no minds will ever be changed, IMO.
I mean the simple fact that the Shroud has been repeatedly handled and exposed to environmental conditions since the middle ages, so it naturally has contamination rife throughout it...it's just SCIENCE. If the Shroud had been locked away somewhere and then discovered and tested, then the testing would be relevant. But bioplastic contamination and medieval patching make those tests irrelevant. Deal another card.
You are a wise person, ErnBatavia.
You mean like the peppered moth circus of lies?
for those who believe, no proof is necessary. for those that don't, there is none good enough...
I find it fascinating. The more one learns of the shroud, the deeper the mystery goes.
As far as I know, no one has even come close to duplicating the shroud with any method.
This is very true of some, but it is their lack of faith that turns them to the shroud. Some NEED proof to support their shaky faith.
The "bioplastic film" isn't there. No one but Garza-Valdes has found it and he received alleged threads illegally. The Church in Turin said that they could not verify that the threads even came from the shroud. The patch theory comes from Benford and Marino, a nurse and her lover, who left the Church to study pyramid power and spontaneous human combustion (http://www.gizapyramid.com/BIO-Benford-Marino.htm). Turin's textile expert, Mme. Flury-Lemberg, has has a chance (unlike the patch proponents) to go back and examine the sample area under a microscope. She has stated in writing (and she believes the shroud is real) that there is no patch at the sample site (http://shroud.com/pdfs/n65part5.pdf)
You're no doubt referring to your litany of ignorant posts.
Do you have any info that would support the validity of the shroud? This post is about a guy that travels around pedling nonsense while selling dvd's and books and getting "stipends" from churches. This is sick whether the shroud is real or not.
